^this. We don't allow it because it was abused and too many people gave money to mentors in exchange for nothing. Best mentor is yourself + lots and lots of research. Read through the sticky threads in the different forum sections to get started.

Once you've got a better idea of how you're going to start off, you can post questions here. Make sure they're researched and carefully worded so members can help you better and you get the answers you want.

That's true if you find the right person and they've got something invested in teaching you their tricks. Otherwise, what's the motivation for someone you've never spoken to on a forum to spend their time mentoring you? They're training a competitor, giving you their hard-won secrets and potentially saturating their methods. From their point of view, a win-win is where you give them lots of money and they give you the absolute smallest amount of information to go away happy.

Not to be cynical - there are an awful lot of good people here who aren't like that. Unfortunately, the good ones aren't the people spamming you with PM's about their coaching services.
