My site gets about 250 regular visits a day. After this reddit post, which shot past 400 upvotes, it got 1700 visits on the first day and 1000 the next day, though it's all dependant on your subreddit and audience I'm sure. The few times I checked, the real-time traffic was hovering around 8-16 visitors at a time.

That's $20 way better spent than Adwords.
