Bad hosting or is it me?

Hi, Guys.

I'm looking for some feedback.

I have a managed VPS with InMotion Hostings in the last 6 - 8 Months I've had my Wordpress websites hacked a few times are my passwords to weak or Inmotion Hosting isn't cutting it? Or is it Wordpress that's no longer safe anymore?

And can anyone recommend an affordable Managed VPS with good customer service? I am based in AU.

Are you facing only hack matters or your customer service is bad with IMH? As far as i know, If you keep WP with good security, it should not be hacked easily. Did you take advise from IMH yet about this?

Mainly hacking matters - and websites are always up to date.

The only advice they tell me is to have a stronger password which is normally very strong.

• Are you using ithemes Security, wordfence, securi, etc. for added security?
  
• Is your database setup correctly, using a non-default prefix?
• Are you hiding your admin URL?
• Is your password at least 12 characters and a big mix of letters, numb, and special characters?
• Do you force double authentication at login?
• Do you force strong passwords?
• Are you using something other than 'admin' for the user login name?
• Are you using Cloudflare for added protection?
• Do you run malware scans regularly?
• Do you ban someone for failed login attempts?

If you answered NO to any of the above questions, then I seriously doubt it's InMotion's fault.

I think you should also change the login username to something that can not be imagined by hacker or scanning program.
