how do u cope with loss ?

so not so long ago i created a thread on here on how to sell my btc which i successfully managed to do. However, one thing that is really getting to me, is that the btc that i sold, is now nearly worth $900...

i am regretting selling it now, i really needed the money to get an apartment for this december and still have all the money but it's really pissing me off loosing out on so much money and it's continuing to climb.

How do u handle this sort of thing, it feels a major kick in the balls when i needed the money the most in my entire life.

It's a lesson, I used to spend a lot of my time trading forex. It's the same game pretty much.

You cannot make the right trades all the time, no one can. If we knew how to do that trading would not exist.

You need to have losers to have winners, it's (very nearly) a zero sum game.

yeah i got what your saying, it was partially the reason i sold as well, as when the ceo announed btc to be a fraud and then the biggest chinese exchanges also been ordered to close down of the chinese goverment, i panicked a little bit, i was watching the the bitcoin value everyday for nearly 2 weeks before selling and also getting a fair rate for the amount i had at the time.

that money would have done shit load for me, can't believe i still sold wayyyy to early. saw the value of btc had gone up to over $7000 earlier which is just fucking insance... fuck, fuck, fuck why did i sell so early, part of me is wishing i just kept hold of it a little while longer.

Think about the people who sold when it hit $100 a coin.... You could have done much worse.

Very very few people will have made out well in this, the value is till rising, if you sell BTC at any point at all you're probably making a mistake.

Loss is just part of life if i go right the way back i lost my original domain had really decent PR at the time. Well i did not renew it because i was skint. I had just lost my girlfirend as well. When i seen the value to buy it back i was pretty hurt. I started again and hell don't know why done a lot better 3rd time round.

If you never had the $, you never lost anything, you just missed out. No different than, for example, investing in Apple stock way back in the day.

Hindsight is 20/20, there's countless opportunity to make more $ than you'll ever need.

Just move on. You should always be prepared to lose money in this game. It is just how it is, nobody can't predict the future of a coin and be 100% sure.

Some people here need to understand the difference between LOSS and Lost Revenue / (or Profit, to be more accurate). If you bought BTC at 1,500 USD and sold at 2,000 USD instead of 7,000 USD, you have not made any loss. Obviously everything looks different in hindsight. What if you bought at 1,500 and and sold 2,000 and then price crashed to 300 then you'd consider yourself a genius for selling it.
