To people above me that blog commenting are bad, not so good or for tier 2, you're all wrong...

Blog commenting are part of "engagement", so it is very much use in Tier 1 (directly pointing to your money site) as long as you don't purchase those "100 blog comments for $10" threads here. Do this to yourself manually -- check the stat of the root domain of the site, see how many overall OBL does the site have, and then post your comment according to the page/post topic. Then put your link on the "Website" box provided, NOT inside the comment box.

Blog comment is also a part of diversity links. Good luck ranking your sites if you don't have diversity links (if it's not already sandboxed).

Comment posting drives a traffic to your website. When you submit your form which comment then you also post a link there. When someone clicks on your name then it redirects to web page or website.

when u hear ppl say tier 2, it's obviously automated. i would not spend 5 mins on a comment to point to a tier 2 link.

i highly recommend to leave a great blog comment on blog that you love...I get pushes from inner pages when I comment on my fav sport team blogs, surf blogs, etc...anything i love, in any vertical/niche.

example if u know your shit on fender guitars and you have attorney/cpa/etc clients (unrelated to your money site) IMO it does not matter. as long as it's not that stupid "great article - very interesting topic...i plan to bookmark blah blah...." looks so weak. any good moderator will delete the comment.

Who is giving this guy thumbs up on his posts? You contribute nothing by not adding any contextual information to your "analysis" (which it really isn't).

Blog comments will help you with a few things:

1.Relevant traffic (if manual and relevant)
2.Reduce bounce rates (because of #1)
3.Diversified & Natural backlink profile

With that said, do not rely on them alone.

I build blog comments directly to my money sites. I don't do this to increase rankings though - I use them for traffic, diversity and building relationships which will then translate to Guest Posts.
