LinkWheel Indexing

Following some of the advice on this website, I decided I would make several linkwheels for all of my sites.

It has been about 3-4 weeks and they are still not getting indexed. Maybe 1 web2.0 will get indexed out of all 7-10 but the rest do not. So my question is what do you guys do to get the linkwheels indexed.

All my wheels are spun articles with 40-60 uniqueness and they are perfectly readable by people (doesn't look like a bot spit it out). I submit the RSS feed as well. Am I missing something?

Did you ping all your web 2.0 sites?

You can:

- Bookmark with sites like JumpTags
- Make smaller linkwheels around each property
- Social networking, etc.

Basically, make the pages appear slightly more important.

I have had the exact same problem with my linkwheels as well and sometimes it does get annoying because you've done all the hard work in creating these linkwheels and they don't give much value because of not gettting indexed.

The best thing i guess is to social bookmark them on as many sites as possible. Also try and ping them 2-3 times each. I did that and most of them got indexed.

Did you actually promote your link wheels on a daily basis? Just because you create a link wheel does not mean Google will automatically index you. You need to promote your link wheels. Social bookmarking, video, article, press releases, commenting, etc.

Making a link wheel is easy. It's the promotion part where everyone falls short.

Did u follow a specific guide on linkwheel?

Try submitting each component of your linkwheel to reditt,digg,stumble . It might help it get indexed...

A few no follow links should be sufficient to get a webpage indexed. The problem with all these social networking and other jabber is that they are orphan pages or have no follow, which does you NO GOOD with google.

I see no reason why he should have to build backlinks to these. I mean, pinging them, and then using something like SENuke or even manually submitting to just digg and reddit should be enough to get them indexed. Whether they rank high or not would depend greatly on the keyword of course.

Are you sure they are not indexed? Is it possible they just aren't ranked high enough for you to see them?

If I had to get something indexed as a matter of urgency, my choice would be high PR backlinks from important sites, combined with a digg submission.

Yeah I'm pretty sure. I check for inurl: on Google and like i said, I'm lucky to get one or two of the properties indexed.

I'm going to try what you guys suggeseted. Will get some nofollow links (because they are easy to get with wordpress), submit to digg and couple other websites.

I remember I made a wheel that had 12 properties and I got a good amount of backlinks from wordpress for each property which indexed my pages in couple days, but after a week or so all of them got deindexed. Don't wanna go overboard again this time. I guess I just gotta find the middle ground.

I too just had had a linkwheel service performed on one of my site after reading some pretty good reviews and it's been about a week and my site's visitor count has actually decreased slightly

maybe give it more time to work? did you verify the work was done properly?

Here is a simple solution to this....

Once you create each element on your link wheel do these two things:

1) Bookmarking Demon Run - I run each URL through Bookmarking Demon on about 100 sites. Once finished I get about 40 that says they ended up being posted. Usually this alone will get everything indexed. If you want go the extra mile, you use BMD's Ping feature to ping the actuall bookmarking accounts themselves.

2) The Link Juicer - setup each element of your Link Wheel in the Link Juicer as a separate campaign. Then let it run for a week.

3) Ping with Pingler - I think this is the lease effective, but it's the fastest and it can't hurt.

Again...give it a week for Google to figure itself out and you should find yourself good to go.

Yeah that seems like excellent advice from MichiganManiac. I really need to think more about automation but I am generally reluctant to pay for these services. I expect I will start using them soon though.

My personal preference is to just keep making new wheels without taking these steps, for a 5 day period, then spend the next 5 days building high PR backlinks with blog commenting to all my wheels, going through each property one by one. In 3 weeks I tend to find that everything is indexed and ranking if it's going to. I am sure social bookmarking is highly effective but for some reason I would rather spend my time getting high PR backlinks. It's just a matter of personal preference.
