Hi, so I really want to learn how to build websites, I believe I have the tools, I got creative cloud subscription to all apps.

I was thinking the niche of pornography would be good since their is alot of traffic in this sector, I was thinking of making a site like pornhub or xvideos the big sites , which allow users to upload their own videos etc community, dont want any paid subscription bullshit, i just want to own the site and create revenue from it. The site would include multiple ads, popups etc and links to landing pages which i think should generate a good revenue.

any help?

Building sites like Pornhub & Xhamster is easy,
But..
Developing a brand like Pornhub & Xhamster is Difficult..

Xhamster :
Global Rank - #75
Alexa rank in US - #72

Pornhub :
Global rank - #37
Alexa rank in US - #20

Gone are the days - I'm one of the regular visitor of these sites :)

Not for nothing... here's my 2 cents, you're probably going to have to build it around a sub fetish of a fetish. This way you can learn as you grow. Also, these types of people are more willing to pay for things since their demands are unmet. A vanilla site has to be free since there is so much competition.

For example, a guy from another board, made good money in a subniche of a a big "femdom" niche. Those guys are really horny and perverted and are willing to shell out cash to feed their repressed lusts. He made a chat service where he had girls talk out and act out guys fantasies from all across the internet. Since it was his site, he was also able to have accounts leave affiliate links, while banning everyone else's aff accounts. Since he had a good *grasp* on supply and demand he made 7k a month or so with little work after he set up his system.

Most of the technical stuff has plenty of wordpress-like solutions you can use. He just found videos on other sites and compiled the best of them on his site. I'm not sure where he hosted his site. For traffic you should probably promote it on places like Reddit, Tumblr, FB, etc. Again, just think of supply and demand, that's all marketing is.

If you try to be like the huge sites, it is going to be like practicing against the Yankees when you've read a few posts and have barely played whiffle ball.

If you already owned domains, hosting and tools of building your websites then what are you waiting for? Start working on it.

You are right, porn sector generating high traffic without doubt nowadays but with less marketing skill you won't achieve what you want.

Remember, without audience and less traffic will never reward revenue to you.

There is one Fetish Niche you can break into easy, but I refused to do it:eek: I'll P.M. It to you.

by no means do I plan to ever get to that ranking. just a few hundred a week or month would be fine.

I have tools, but no skills as of yet, never had a domain, never put ads on a website etc..

Select a niche, and start working on it. Example: asian, fetish, gays (big potential here), latina, etc.

Good luck @John Winter

If you do build a site, download a huge bunch of videos from pornhub and re-upload them so the site looks busy.

I'm very creative, I am sure could find a profitable niche, one thing I am stuck on is, where do I begin? What is a good platform for building the typical xvideos - xnxx style? also how to apply ads to the site aswell is where i need help in!

This might help you:

Let's say I want to start a Fetish porn tube. Here are some of the main steps I would take in my research and planning of my site.

-I'd go to The Porn Dude - Top Porn Sites List! and any other site with a list of tubes. I'd research on alexa the actual biggest tubes (i.e. porndude doesn't have youjizz etc). Create a master list of the biggest adult tubes. Then create a list of the biggest niche tubes.

- I'd visit each one and view them as a surfer. I'd make a list of what I liked and didn't like about each. Hell if you have to drop your pants and whip out your cock then do that. You need to really think and feel like the surfer. You have to BE the surfer.

- I'd visit the top tubes/sites in each niche category. I'd go through the same practise of viewing them as a surfer.

- I'd revisit all of the top sites and then start making notes as a website owner. What do I like about the design. What do i dislike. What would I change. What do i think works.

- I'd review the top niche sites. What elements do the best do better than the others? What do I think the reasons the top guys are the top guys. Is there anything being done on other tubes that hasn’t been applied to the Fetish Porn Tubes? Ie is Jamo.tv doing something in the asian market that i can use on my fetish tube.
- I’d create a list of the fetish free sites and visit them. Any recurring themes that seem to work or be popular.

- I’d create a list of communities in my niche/fetish and visit them. Get involved as a surfer. Research what is popular. Which sites are being linked to? What type of videos? Are most links going to general tubes or fetish tubes? If it’s not going to fetish tubes why not? Ads? popups?

Alright now you have data and some perspective on what is needed to compete. Start building your site. Try to implement the ideas you have. Once you’ve designed the site now review and compare your site to the top tubes. Ask yourself this question. If you are the surfer and you have the choice would you visit your site or Pornhub? Why? Why not? You have to build a site that is better than your competition. There is no point in launching a CopyCatCookieCutterTube.com. Those days are over. If you are going to launch something make it worthwhile. Make it the best. For your launch remove all advertising. Remove all popups. Do you think having an annoying popup will get a surfer to prefer your site over PornHub? You are in competition with every major tube. If you can’t compete and be better than them then don’t launch.

This method can be applied to every type of site.

You should look into scripts for downloading from sites like xvideos/porn hub and watermarking. Also uploading some videos with your sites watermark to freesites is a good way to get your site know for free.

Haha that was funny made me laugh, to be honest im not trying to own the next pornhub or xvideos, its just something that could make a good few pounds a day. I am not asking for anything big etc.

I am new at scripting etc, no clue at all, I want to learn how to build websites, or if somebody here can build me a porn site and go 50/50 i am happy :)
