PBN Domain: Fake Whois Question

While use fake whois I think Shitdaddy will send you an email and tell you if your info is right or not, I just don't get it what this mean.

why? you say that as if it was a fact, but it isn't. there are millions of sites ranking with whois protection so it can naturally happen that 50 sites with whois protection can link to you.
only based on whois protection google can't say if a site is shady or not.


yes only if the TLD doesn't support whois protection then i set fake whois.

It will hurt only if they decide to do a manual inspection, all private whois will allow them to dig more and we all know that there is always a footprint no matter how good u do it, mixing things up will likely stop the from digging more and more when it come to manual review.

Why use a fake whois when you can use their anonymizing service? I don't understand. Google cannot access the info behind the anonymized whois.

You can't go for fake. If you choose namecheap that will provide free whois production and it is better than godaddy.

I use namecheap and internet.bs most of the times. Always been using Fake info and never had any issues so far.

Note: Stay away from Godaddy at all costs. They are anal if your site starts getting good hits and often lock out accounts for verification. Lost around 5 such accounts few years back and never went back to Godaddy again

Exactly what happened to me! What I did wrong according to them was that I paid for 10 domains with same paypal BUT the account names where different. So they asked about ID verification (I used fake details though). I ended up losing 10 domains. On the other hand, I never had any issue with NameCheap and their support is great. But make sure to always use a variety of registrants. I still use Godaddy but with a different approach now. The reason is that GoDaddy is the most known registrant so it will be strange for google for a website not to receive backlinks from GoDaddy domains.

How can Google figure out who the nominator is from the nominee's record? It is a legally binding agreement under trust law.

If you pay say using paypal for example. Would that not be an alert to them?

That is not a problem. Not every domain you register is for you and you can't keep same registrant name for all of your clients. They never ask if your PayPal name and registrant name is different. But yes, Godaddy some times ask for ID verification if you have used different account name and registrant name but your Credit Card details are different. Then they ask for ID verification, means you have to upload your ID card. This happens usually when you have multiple accounts using same credit card for buying domains and all accounts having different registrant details.

They only ask for ID verification of your billing address. Obviously use real billing info, then a real name/address for the domain. Use 192.com or something.

I think the thing to realize is that the only time Google will cross check who-is data is when a site triggers a manual review and something seems to be too good to be true or there are spam complaints (more likely the latter). It isn't something they do for every site (and every link pointing to it). With that said, yes, future proof yourself. Hide your footprints. I personally take advantage of NameCheap's free "private who-is" a lot and also use various "fake" names. Never had any issues. Just make sure the email you use does redirect to an email address you monitor.

Now, you will be judged more by the IP address you use. At least as far as Google is concerned. We know that for a fact. Google does place some emphasis on the location of the IP (very little, but it does monitor it), so the more important factor is either hiding the IP with CloudFlare like services or proactively getting different IPs.
