I'm curious for how many of you procrastination is a massive obstacle.

Whenever I'm working on IM stuff, I think about 50% of my tabs is stuff I'm working on, then the other 50% entertainment stuff and I tend to spend 5 mins on each going back and fourth.

Have any of you struggled with this and found a good compromise? Do you just set the clock and do strictly work stuff for that period? I gotta change my ways lol, wasting way too much time with mental masturbation

Procrastination issues can be solved by setting goals. I have about 30-50% of my tabs open doing other stuff, too but I scrape at least 2-5k emails a day regardless. I don't always reach my bulk email goals because of ISP and/or public WiFi SMTP limit blocks and restrictions, but I'm okay with it.

Nice Runescape avatar.

I've never really liked procrastinating. I'm more of a "get it done now, that way you don't have to worry about it later" type of person.

How do you deal with it if the "thing you have to get done now so that you don't have to worry about later" is a cumulative thing? Where the more you do, the better it'll be?

For example I'm in school and I study for my tests. But there isn't a "set" amount you can study for a test. And the more you study, the more you get out of it. So for this kind of example, what do you think would be the best choice for anti-procrastinating?

I'm doing some shitty correspondence course and I dedicate a day a week where I'll do that in my free time, and I won't think about it on any other days lol.

Those situations stress me out. Using your example and assuming I don't have anything else that needs to be done, I end up obsessing over the issue to the point where I don't just stop at studying for the test, but I go and research the testing format, the teacher, the history of the testing format, etc.

I have major issues with procrastination, the only thing that has helped me is the pomodoro technique and i use it religiously to get stuff done.

On ios i use the focus keeper app for pomodoro.

Also i have a chrome extension that blocks domains like reddit and similar site from loading.

I knew I wasn't the only one who stressed above situations like this!
