Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has been kicked off Etsy and had success setting up a new account?

If I used a new credit card, shop name, email would that be enough? Or do I need to use a new location to set up shop so it's a different IP.

I was making good bank and then just got kicked off last month.

You need a new ID and Social security if your in the US

i setup one for someone, but they are crazy about everything else too. They want all the manufacturing details, pics of workspace...too much information.

Esty is such a bully platform people get banned so easily and most of the time is either from A) you selling stuff that breaks the platform rules, non hand made/branded items B) other sellers reporting on you 80% that is the reason lol

You will also need new address, IP address and new PayPal if you're using merchant account to get payments. Make sure that you also change all you photos, take all new pictures because esty has a team that will manually check your store if you get reported again by a competitor.

Thanks for the heads up. I want to create an Etsy account for digital downloads, so trying to collect information about how not to get banned. Any good resource on selling digital downloads on Etsy?

You DON'T need a new IP. I have several dozen accounts, some were removed long ago and some get messages now and then telling me that something is not right etc but have never had any problems.

If you entered a SSN then yeah there might be a problem in terms of payments, but if you had not entered that before (assuming you are in the US) then you should be OK.

@sikandar Yeah there are a ton of good resources, there are many teams on etsy dedicated to digital goods. Just go to the bottom of any page on Etsy and click the teams tab and do a search for the word digital it will bring up a bunch.

I don't know if you're going to be using any shady methods but if you're not going to be then you should be fine, you are allowed to sell digital goods on Etsy.

Its really easy to get back on etsy, semi easy for ebay and pretty hard, but not impossible for Amazon

Hey man, I've tried this before with a UK address and VPN but was immediately asked for an ID. Do you mean that fake ID's are needed to sign back up? Thank you! Been trying to get back on Etsy forever now. It's a huge cash cow if fed properly.

I got terminated pretty quickly as well. One strike and you are out. What would be a good way to get back on etsy? I'm in the US and them asking for SSN is a huge limitation.

Go to the IRS website and get an EIN, you can apply for as many EIN's as you want. it asks for an EIN or a SSN
