The last time this was posted it was about Waltonchain. Since that post last month, the coin is up almost 4x. If you missed that one, here's your chance to get in very early on this one.

I came across this project a few weeks ago and it's brilliant. I have always wondered why something like this project hasn't been made yet. I'm an active torrent user, creator, and seeder, and the worst thing is getting nothing in return for the work I do.

Upfiring changes that. I've done some good research on it - essentially, they're modifying the BitTorrent protocol to allow seeders to get compensated with a cryptocurrency called UFR each time somebody within the app downloads the seeder's files. Considering UFR is going to be tradable on exchanges you are literally getting paid crypto to seed files, which is awesome. This video explains it the idea behind it pretty well.


The market cap is extremely low right now, meaning that this project could easily be worth 10x the current price in several months to a year from now. The amount of money to be made here is potentially huge.

Seen this project hyped on reddit a lot and I'm def into it. I've been waiting to get paid this week to put some ETH in.

You know the coin price is only pennies because there are a lot of coins in circulation right? The project itself is raising 40k ETH and is not a "penny ante pump and dump". Do some research and read the whitepaper, I think it's a pretty solid project and has great potential. Haven't seen anything else like it yet.

If you haven't seen anything like it you must be very new indeed. Even the (illegal, by the way) penny stock pump and dump copy is recycled.

Zinxpxbl has an interesting posting history LOL. To add to this I'm very active on reddit and have seen a lot of projects and not a single is doing anything like what Upfiring is doing. Oh well you can criticize it all you want, let the rest of us invest and we'll see who's right in a month ;)
 
Let me start by saying I think this is a good concept and I see the potential for it to really spike. I’m thinking putting in a little money to catch the wave of hype is a good short term strategy.

One thing I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around is why would I pay for something that I can already get for free on other torrenting sites? I get that once you pay you can then seed and earn back your money, but I still have to invest that initial time to seeding or money into the coins. Why give up that money/time when I can just get it NOW for FREE on the Pirate Bay? What makes you guys think it has the potential to compete long term?

Because WAY more people will want to seed on this app than say uTorrent once it's released. More seeders = more torrents/files available overall and faster downloads.
 
gotcha, I was reading the site wrong, I thought it was competition going with the Pirate Bay, not uTorrent. Makes more sense now
 
Interesting concept and definitely workable.

there's huge room for profit since the price is low. i dont see why it couldnt reach 0.20 in future but the team behind needs to trusted too.
though one thing paranoids abit is there's no face or person profile that claims they are the owner, only an email contact to raise 12million?
or did i missed it somewhere

According to Time Machine you can see the team used to be listed on the bottom of the page, but replaced with the ICO info when it started. I found one of the co-founder's linkedins though pretty easily: linkedin.com/in/tylerfallon

And I agree. I'm gonna try to turn 10 ETH into 100 ETH with this ICO cause I really like the concept and think it's realistic.

Yeah I read their whitepaper. This project is definitely a potential gold mine if they do it right...it could change everything.

Their plan is for users to use UFR to download files, seed to earn back that UFR (and more), and the network grows stronger with more files and faster download speeds as a result. Really cool.
 
i couldnt find the timeline that describe how early this get listed and sellable
anyone got that?
