HomePage Links gone

Hello Guys,

I checked my GWT today and all my Backlinks connecting to my homepage are gone. The links to the other pages are all in tact though.

Any advice as to what went wrong? By the way, My website and all the pages that I want indexed are in G's index.

If its indexed that is all you need to worry about. WMT can sometimes be buggy.

1. What are the types of your backlinks?
2. If they are all bad PBN and google may found it.
3. Make sure to check all your backlinks still indexed by google. [Google may de indexed for spam created backlinks]

I have a hunched that when google crawled my homepage, he received error 500 as it was shown in my GWT. I am thinking that that could be the reson why all links pointing to it was removed. I could be wrong though.

The links are web 2.0 and few pbn links from reputable members here.

I will give it a week or maybe it will get updated when G crawls again.

Google bot getting 500 error on your website has no relation to links pointing to your website.

First manually check whether those links to your homepage are still online.

There was a post recently by member who bought links from PBN but PBN seller did not renew domains and all PBN links are gone.

So first manually check those links.

I checked them and they are online. If they don't have relationship I guess this made me even more confused.

My web 2.0 pointing to my homepage are all gone as well in GWT even if they are still alived and indexed.

So I guess I will wait and see.

All you ever have to worry is if they are still indexed in Google. Maybe there's just an issue/bug in GWT that made some data disappear.

It all returned. My hunch was correct that it was due to spiders unable to crawl my homepage due to an error.
