Hello, I am a total newbie would like to try amazon affiliate program. I have searched in google about signing up, but It was sad that It is asking US address/phone number as I am not US residence.

Can I still join and promote any Amazon products wherever I am living?

I would really appreciate if someone could point me the right direction to start up my journey..

Check to see if your country is supported, sign up. If you want to later you can join all the different countries except India if you're not resident there

my country is not supported. I want to join US amazon which is not my country, but amazon asks for address and phone verification.

Yes you can target US market even if you don't live there.

Yes, but that is not what you asked, nor what I replied to. You asked if you had to live there in the USA.
Obviously you need to join Amazon to be an affiliate. Same as you need to join Adsense to earn from Adsense.
