1. privateblog1.com -> moneysite.com
2. privateblog2.com -> moneysite.com
3. privateblog1.com -> privateblog2.com (doesn't necessarily have to link to #2 article or homepage, could link to random article on privateblog2.com that has no link in order to reduce footprintness)

So PB 1 links to money and PB
PB 2 links to money and PB3
PB 3 links to money and PB1

Ok, how many masking links will you use? 3-4-30? Ok, now you'll need those links times 3, otherwise the sites are all just clones of each other.
You don't see the pattern you create?
Just buy better PBNs and you won't have to do this.

This will make all the PBs into an actual PBN. I have not done PBNs yet but I was thinking that this is the normal way to setup a PBN and in fact was thinking that's why it's called a network of blogs because they are actually networked. People are saying this will give the network more power but they are also saying that it will kill all the blogs if a manual review comes about. Really? Let's say you have something setup like this:

1. privateblog1.com -> moneysite.com
2. privateblog2.com -> moneysite.com
...
49. privateblog49.com -> moneysite.com
50. privateblog50.com -> moneysite.com

According to the gurus this is perfectly safe and you don't risk anything during a manual review.

But they're saying if you have something like this:

1. privateblog1.com -> moneysite.com
2. privateblog2.com -> moneysite.com
3. privateblog1.com -> privateblog2.com
...
...
149. privateblog49.com -> moneysite.com
150. privateblog50.com -> moneysite.com
151. pivateblog50.com -> privateblog49.com

then all your domains will be blacklisted. But why? If your moneysite is under manual review they already know there are 50 links coming from 50 different domains. But if those 50 domains don't link to each other will the manual review guy forget that they link to the same moneysite? Why would they not blacklist all of the 50 domains anyway?

Because if the 50 PBN domains don't interlink with each other, they are just 50 independent links to the money site. What if the money site had those 50 PBN links, and 1000 other links from other sources. Should all 1000 of those other links be "blacklisted"? Of course not. They are just links to a site.

If your PBN is set up right, then your 50 PBN links are just 50 of hundreds or thousands of links your money site is getting. Maybe a manual review will uncover them. If they are all interlinked than certainly a manual review will uncover them. Additionally, linking them together is probably a bad idea even without a manual review. I would guess that Google's algorithm is getting good at automatically finding these associations between linking sites, and you're setting a red flag for the algorithm to perhaps penalize your site (or trigger a manual review).

It's not called a PBN because the PB sites interlink to each other. It's called that because they all link to one money site. Once you start interlinking your PBN sites to each other, it becomes very obvious that there is a connection between them - that they might be related, and owned by the same person, and being used as an artificial way to supply a money site with backlinks.

Best not to point out to Google that your PBN sites are related.

It is a network, because they are all blogs you own, not because you have interlinked them to each other, that would be a private blog spider web of doom(the doom being a massive footprint).
