Is buying a niche site worth it

Hello everyone,

I see lot of threads that offer well prepared niche sites.

I am just wondering if it's worth buying. Will it fetch revenue, like not instantly but over time if it is worked upon.

I know for low cost you can't expect much but is it worth investing your time on.

Thanks for the reply so just buying one to start off with is enough right ?

I have a little knowledge on this.. so planning to get one and learn by working upon it accordingly.

Can you suggest how much hours do you need to put to make it work.

Starting from zero, you'll need several weeks to months to start ranking for some long tails.

Better buy a site that is already ranking for some kws.

In my experience it’s hit and miss. Some niche sites I’ve bought have been little gems. Some not so much.

But it’s definitely a great place to start learning.

Starting from zero, you'll need several weeks to months to start ranking for some long tails.

Better buy a site that is already ranking for some kws.

So buying a ranked website would cost more but has be worked upon less compared to a new niche site.

Why do you think that everyone is selling niche websites instead of creating them for themselves? Sure, you will get domain, kw suggestions and all that but you will need to rank the website yourself which takes times, don't believe that you will make $xxxx every month like people claim in their sales thread without hard work.

Well that answers it .. maybe I can invest in a ranked site after I Lear managing the cheap niche site to be on a safer site.

everybody thinks that when they start out..., in reality 98% will fail, the other 2% will make a little money but when they check it out, they will have spent $$$$ more than what they earned..

think about it..., why don't the seller of these niche sites keep them for themselves and make loads of $$$$?
the reality is that they won't make you much money, if any at all.
you will have to put in a lot of work and will most likely get your website penalised because you will don anything to make it work..

Most of my niche sites make $5 - $10/Month. So if you add the # of my sites into that calculation you get the # of $ per month.

For me it's quantity with semi quality. Ranking in Ask, Baidu, Bing, Google, and Yahoo.

I monetize with Google Adsense, CPA, and even offer personal consulting.

Don't forget you can just use Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as traffic generators to your site, so it's not always about keywords, but just finding a way to bring people to your site or to others with an affiliate link.

Buying a website already made with no real back-links is just a site and nothing else. You add value to your site by generating traffic to it. You do this by using social media, SEO, paid ads, or all three combined.

Your niche can be making money from the internet and you can magically find people off of Facebook to send you money and PM them a E-book "you" written or resell. Create a funny video advertising your E-book and upload to Youtube. Give the video fake views, likes, comments and then share that video in groups on Facebook to noobs

don't forget you have to service these 100 websites, add backlinks and content, all of which will cost more than your $5 - $10, then there's the hosting cost and your time, as you'll be working up to 10+ hours per day

Why Google don't create all the websites and earn all the money just for them? The same with Amazon, clickbank, AliExpress, etc.
I bought a few microniches here, they have like a 2 or 3 weeks and yeah I'm not making a lot of money, just cents right now, but I'm learning a lot and I know if I work hard on them they could make me a little extra in my pocket.

The reason I was considering this is because I have no knowledge on web design because I tried once and failed at it and I just wanted something that I learn from by working on it.

Erm... you don't have to be web designer in order to start your website.
WordPress.org + Free wordpress theme + Good shared hosting plan and you are ready to go

Don't forget these sites take articles from others and spin then post new junk and people share that junk on their Facebook which spreads reach.
