I was wondering what I can do to make people who visit my Wordpress blog from organic search stay longer, and make it look more professional.

What plug ins do you use to make people stay on your site more, I already have that internal read more plug in, but I noticed other sites have related articles plugins that includes photos.

thanks

You can try using the Reduce Bounce Rate plugin. This plugin informs Google every ten seconds about any page interaction that would otherwise be ignored or counted as bounced.
Use your sidebar to feature popular content (WordPress Popular Posts plugin)
And you can try to show related posts in popup box

Your talking about user engagement really.

Good content. Video. Related content. Internal links.

Why would someone stay on your page? What's the goal of lowering your bounce rate?

Is it clear what they are doing or going to get?

First time hearing about Reduce Bounce Rate. Look good!

OP, you can consider splitting up your posts in to several pages too.

Example? I notice a lot of big news websites have that never endin scroll is that good too? Im scared to try that because it could end up being algorithm penalty by google down the line, Google penalizes you later on for things they allowed before its like a way to sabotage you so im very cautious.

Example (this will let users stays on site longer and reduce bounce rate):
mainpage. com/post/
mainpage. com/post/2
mainpage. com/post/3

I only use the "Load more" feature (silimar to auto scroll) on the home page but the user has to press the button. Not on the blog posts or other pages tho.
The "Load more" setup actually loads the site pages on each press and google crawlers gets the data as a normal page load for indexing.

You are absolutely right, your site (template's coding) must setup clean/properly to work well with autoscroll and google indexing.

Which theme are you using? That's something to keep in mind, is it a nice looking site, nice logo etc.
