Mine is about 81/19 right now. I feel like I need more no-follow links?

You do not need more no follow, you need more do follow if you want to rank. Do not worry about the nofollow links, as they will come to you anyway.

I thought Google looked at a particular ratio as being unnatural?

As with most things in SEO there is no perfect, one-size-fits-all formula.

Your best option is take a look at competitors who are ranking in your niche and go for something similar to their ratios. If competitor ratios are all over the place then dont worry. If they're all within a fairly similar amount then aim for around that.

if you worry about that ratio, you got bigger issues to adress

Don't believe in no-follow/do-follow backlinks. even one link from wikipedia, which is a no-follow backlink, will give a great boost to the positions. Try to get links from relevant, authoritative domains.

There is no ideal ratio if your links looks genuine then you can even have 100% ********, so focus just on quality links dont build spammy links else anytime in manual verification your website could be taken down !

My bet is Google doesn't give a shit about nofollow / ******** ratio.
