100K account .. usually get 2K - 3K likes per picture and now recently about 1.5K~ on avg.

Is anyone else experiencing a drop?

102k account avarage 4-5k per post, engagement dropped 40-70%. Someone knows what the hell is going on?

Everyone is experiencing drops in engagement and new followers. No matter the size of the account, 1K, 5K, 10K, 25K, 50K, 100K+, etc.

Main reasons could be:
1. IG is going hard against bots and deleting accounts. So, less bots, less followers and less likes.
2. IG changed the algorithm. Lower actions per hour, etc.

If anyone has a work around for the new algorithm please let us know.

Its very weird because all my followers and likes are real. and the followers are actually growing. very very slow and lots of comments compare to old photos. the problem is only in the likes and engagement. And many people reported me they cant see my feeds or get any notification even if its on.

Yep, that's the new algorithm. I run 99% real accounts for clients, have a couple of fakes, but look real. You wouldn't know they are fake, real looking name, photos on posts match profile photo, URL matches name and either just blog, and/or sell real stuff, no referral or click banks, or crap like that.

Anyway, the real client accounts have all lost engagement. I run them in different bots, different settings, different parts of the world. There is no way that they have been shadowbanned, I check daily, and nothing is bot like in their actions.

I'm sure there is someone here that has access to what the Instagram algorithm is looking at or looking for.

I see, like us there are thousands of people in the same situation. So I hope and think they should fix the situation. because Its not gonna be productive for them. And I hope someone here that works for Instagram can give us some informations and update. As the Instagram support, even for business accounts is the worst thing ever.

I'm afraid instagram algorithm may be heading the same path as facebook, meaning:
launching business profiles & enabling ads -> killing organic engagement -> pushing people to get engagement thru paid ads as the only way

Yep, exactly what I was going to point out. It's inevitable, they've been slowly toying with this direction since starting business profiles became an option.

Now that almost everybody is suffering, it seems inevitable that we're hitting the end of natural engagement and will have to pay2play in order to enjoy FB's platform killing approach. It's a shame, there's not much left for artistic expression and fun within social media these days.

Mine's worse, 149K, from 2-3k likes to 400-500, around 5k reach per post now, used to be 10-15k.

Same crap happened to me, from an average of 700 likes down to 300-400

I think that using links in bios leads to low engagement . they track external links but not sure . instagram wants you to pay for traffic

Same here. Last week about 700-800 likes per picture, this week more lik 400-500.
Same kind of pics, would have expected more likes.
