What's the best macro software?

I need a fallout PC macro.

I need to do some pretty complex things involving variables.

Shit like taking images from a designated folder and putting them in Movie Maker, then waiting for it to finish (aka 3:50), then doing the next one.

Or a different one that posts to my blog based off getting content from my notepad and having each one seperated by "-----------" (I heard that's how you tell it.)

Okay basically I need a powerful macro that works for both Browser and Programs on my computer and is really powerful and supports variables and shit. (Unless it's smarter to have a pc based one and have that trigger iMacro?)

I've been looking for such a macro software for a while, one that can handle well both desktop apps and web apps, but ... Hopefully I will find an answer later in this thread later, but I really doubt there is one. For the web apps, iMacros is the leader, for desktop apps, didn't really found one that would suite me well.

I find that macro express is rather well suited for what you might need. Very affordable also. I might point out that I work mostly white-hat and after testing software, I buy it. this is one that you want to buy just so that you can ask questions on the support forums and no one will question you about the purchase. http://www.macroexpress.com/ and the cost is 60.00 ( best money ever spent on software )

I did some research and it seems like AutoMate and WinAutomation are the best with AutoMate coming out on top. Maybe someone can disprove or confirm this?

I have started using http://www.automationanywhere.com. It really allows you to create complex macros. I tried a couple of other macro softwares, but nothing compared to Automation Anywhere for me. They have various versions of the product available. They allow variable creation, image recognition and also visually represents the whole task for me.

I have used Selenium for the Web automation stuff. You can convert it to Java, Php, Python and other languages so you can integrate it with other apps. Its free and has a big library of functions

How so? Why is better? What do you mean by specific web action...
Which is easier to use of the two by the way...

I use AutoiIt for macros and so on. It's a very powerful and free scripting language designed to automate repetitive tasks that is also piss easy to learn and you can compile your macros into .exe's:

I use win auto and imacros. winauto will supposedly be coming out with a logical web recorder in the future to be the best all-in-one. I have not really tried any others.

Macro Express hands down. The only one that comes close is Automation Anywhere version 5.0 (good luck finding it full version)

Automation and Winautomation don't hold a candle to macro express.

I've tried many many many macro programs and the one I always keep going back to is macro express. I start using a macro program, realize it doesn't have the functions macro express has and then go back to macro express.

With macro express you can write some fairly complex macros, but don't have to be a coding genius.

I wish macro express was updated with image recognition, then it would be complete in my book. My only issue with macro express is sometimes it's slow to fire on wait for window to appear triggers.

I also find the interface on Network automation and Automate awful!



For web I would use Imacros. (you could theoretically pass data from macro express to imacros and vice versa)

Other than that, I would say autohotkey if you like coding from scratch.

Couldn't find WinAutomation full anywhere...

In terms of Macros, seems like everyone has their own taste, but surprisingly Macro Express is fairly popular with you guys. Their website looks really novice though.

Iono if this counts, but Imacros for firefox is kickass and ive used it a couple times to do some macro jobs for me
