My dog just died

Also, Most vets are out for the money (not all vets) imho and will quickly want to put your dog to sleep for anything, I Just don't believe in that. My Shar Pei was 16 years old (very old) and we took him to the vet and the bitch actually suggested to me to have him put down because he was old and in pain BLAH BLAH BLAH... Didn't happen.
Took my moms cat to the vet because she was loosing weight fast.. well i forgot what it was called the cat had, but she took blood from the cat out of her neck! and said her blood was pink and just like water, and she was wanting to have it put down but because she wouldn't live probably trough the night. I wouldn't let her put the cat down until my mom have said her goodbyes so i took the cat home.. Well my granny got to doctoring the cat and you know.. the cat is still alive 3 years later and fat!

Im sure you lost a good friend. find the comfort in knowing hes not suffering anymore. Do your best to protect your other dog.Thanks for teaching me something today, will tell others that have dogs to watch out for. .. Again, thanks and sooo sooo sorry

Sorry to hear about your loss ForeverNever, it's always a tough thing to deal with. My last dog (Samoyed) I had raised since it was a puppy and she was just a super cool dog with tons of personality. Last year she had reached the ripe old age of 13 and I had taken her up to my parents ranch with me to play with their dogs.
Our family decided to go out cruising around the ranch on ATC's. Long story short, my dad ended up accidently running her over and she died in my arms. Needless to say, it's a tough deal.
Sorry, I can't be of assistance regarding the parvo issue as like you prior to yesterday, I haven't have any first hand experience with it.

Sorry to hear about your loss.. Anyway I once had a 2 month old dachshund also died to parvovirus. Ironically, on the day she died I found a supposedly "effective" treatment against this nasty virus called tamiflu. Check out the links below

Soooo sorry to hear about your doggie dying. I have 3 and they are all my babies. I would be devastated if anything happened to them.
Anyway, re the parvo. What I would suggest is that you spray your place with hydrogen peroxide. You can get 20 Volume from a chemist and dilute it 50/50 then use it to spray the whole area - it will disinfect it and kill any bacteria. Keep your other doggie out the way until it dries. You can also wash any bedding by adding a cup of 20 volume hydrogen peroxide to the wash.
To keep your other dog free from parvo, you might want to look into purchasing 35% foodgrade hydrogen peroxide. Then put 3 drops (no more) of that in his water bowl every day. It will keep it free from most other diseases as well. I use the same for my dogs.
If you want to find out more about hydrogen peroxide therapy, just do some research about it on Google. There are lots of farmers who swear by using peroxide in the drinking water for cattle, sheep, horses, chickens etc. If you use it right it can only benefit your pet.

The best advice I can give you from experience is to make sure you bleach and disinfect the whole house wherever the dog has been to protect your other dog, It won't get rid off it fully but it will decrease the chances of the other dog getting it.

Wow thank you all for the responses. I've begun the cleaning process. The 1 year old was luckily never aloud in my room, so I doubt my room is infected. My 10 year old is being quarantined in here while I clean.

Sorry for the loss of your puppy. I had a puppy once, it wasn't supposed to grow any larger than it was (pretty small) and my neighbor who is my grandfathers brother had a large, scary dog which ate my puppies tongue right out of its mouth It was pretty sad, so I can only imagine a disease being worse (you cannot shoot the disease in the face)
Don't pull all your eyelashes out and hope it comes back to life, I tried it and it doesn't work. I was only 8 when this happened by the way..

Sorry to hear about your dog, mine has also had Canine Parvo. It's is indeed a horrid disease.
We picked a stray dog up from another town and brought him home to our other dog. About 3 - 4 weeks (maybe sooner; been a while) they both had it...
To keep the story short, the stray had died because it had it far worse than our dog, it was hard, VERY hard to keep our dog alive... just kept her hydrated with icecubes and tried to get a little food in her.
