Should I give up and move on?

Hello guys!

I started a travel related account (for a specific country) on July. I'm not using bots, everything has been done manually. The only "cheating" that I've done is Follow/Unfollow.

Now, in September the number of followers is almost 9k. I'm a completely newbie, so I don't know if this is considered a slow growth. For me is not that bad...

Now my question: I've been thinking on how can I make money from this? And everything that I've read here and in other forums makes me think that I have no chances. Big companies won't advertise with me (they can just pay for Advertising on Instagram). And I think I'm not big enough to convince medium/small companies.

What would you guys do? Just give up from this account and move to a new project? Or do you think there are still some chances of getting some money from it?

(I'm not planning to be rich from this or something like that, but it would be nice if I ever have the chance of quit my day job and focus on this "personal" project and earn enough to live).

I think there are websites where you can sell shoutouts. With more amount of followers you can earn good money.

It took me three months to reach almost 9k. Let's say that I'm lucky enough to keep growing like this. In one year, I will have around 35k probably.

In your opiniom, is it worthy to wait that much? Will I make a decent amount of money?

Start promoting your "Service" / "Small instagram account" to drop-shippers in FB related groups as there are at least couple million people to target there.

Groups like Ecom empires etc are just insanely active and if you could be polite and not over-pushy you could easily achieve couple deals and partners in such way.

You just need to present that you have grown this Instagram account without any tools, engagement is natural and real and you are willing to give out for a good price.

Start boiling your brains from that..

In your case your target audience is people ( SELLERS) who are looking for Instagram influencers.

They would love to try out your channel to sell their travel related items.

I did write that you are MICRO-influencer.
And those people are in higher demand to connect as their followers are not yet drained and the price for follower/engagement is usually better.

You can contact people in your circle. Start from them. You can ask them for providing their advertisement. You can add the creative images for that. I someone has online games or something else online, you can link that image to their site or to download link.

In start, you can ask them for monthly payments, after that, you can charge them on per click. I think this strategy will help you. Make sure the add placement in between the contents or at catchy location so you will get more visitors for the add too.

2 million followers from shoutouts can get 500 plus usd a month ,but not more than 1000usd ,
I think even go to do second part time work , the paid is better than have 2 million followers,

you can find same niche but hv 2 million followers to do statistic see how much they can earn from shout out,

This is not a business where you can jump in and make money right off the batt. Lots of times it takes time and then more time. In the beginning you will spend more learning than what you make. But the ones that stick with it are the ones that will make money in the long run.

Keep with it. You will find what works for what you are doing.
