So, I started my own website and I will monetize it with adsense.
Now, I need some advices when it's about getting traffic with $0 budget.
This is my experience so far:
I already did some things on bunch of Social networks, created FB fan page, profiles on Tumblr, Twitter, Stumbleupon, Digg, Fark, Reddit, Weheartit, Google+.
1. FB page - So hard to gain followers, I'm not even trying anymore. The only useful thing so far was joining hundreds of FB groups and posting there, but after some time, they start warning you (spamming issues).
2. Tumblr - Probably I started to late, gaining followers is also very hard now, no matter what all those tutorials on youtube say.
3. Twitter - I'm working on getting followers, so we'll see what future will bring for me.
4. Stumbleupon - Not really sure how it works, I'm getting referrals from there, but I read it might be better not to use them since of their bounce ratio.
5. Digg - I have no idea what Digg is all about. I was watching videos about it, some people say it is very good for backlinks and similar, I'm uploading my links and nothing is happening. They're not showing anywhere and I don't have referrals from them.
6. Fark - I uploaded 2-3 links, they are not showing anywhere, but I can see it in my reffering sites.
7. Reddit - I had one good day with Reddit, I was positively surprised, however that was only that one day, later on nothing similar happened. Eather they will ban you from posting, since it's new account, or they will put you on spam list since you're posting only your content. I guess it can be really good if you really give some time in it.
8. Weheartit - Bloggers page where I created a profile and it looks like people are following back and give you some feedback on your post. However, to gain some traffic from there, I have to publish part of my article there and do standard - Read more @ with my link. And it works. Not so great, but works.
9. Google+ - I don't know what to say, I tried it, joined bunch of large groups there, but it is a very bad interraction, nobody is liking or reposting, not sure if they even try to click on it.
I know this is a very long post, but I hope my experience with these will be helpful to some people who are starting something similar.
Now, I need experience. PINTEREST.
I have over 450 boards, nearly 150 related to my nieche. I tried it already to share like crazy, manually, and I was banned, of course.
So I'm currently working on this strategy - To create bunch of pinterest profiles, at least 100, to make them look realistic, and to ad every one of them to only 3 group boards. I'm planning to do weekly schedule, rotation of these accounts every day so I have profiles that I use only every Monday, others every Thuesday and so on.
Now, I am new in this, so I'm creating all these profiles manually from my PC, since I'm not familiar with use of proxy or anything similar.
My question is: Will this work?
I mean, I will let these profile to age few weeks and I'll work with them slowly at the beginning, but now I'm worried they will all get banned since they are all created on the same IP.
I can't wait for your opinions and advices.
