Starting my journey to 100k subscribers

I launched a YouTube channel a few weeks ago and it is already showing promise. I was worried about my videos being ghosted because of certain information spread on this forum regarding buying views, but I think I can confidently say ghosting is nothing more than a myth

My goal is to generate about $1,000 a month on adsense and eventually get a Silver Play Button

I’d prefer to keep my niche and channel hidden for the time being while I explore a bit more, but I think I am off to a pretty damn good start

If you are referring to me, no I do not currently deal with anime. But I definitely think there is much potential in the anime niche

To you guys who started channels and are gaining success,

Do you buy views and likes to get your videos started before it gains organically?

If so how many do you buy for your video in the beginning??

I'm struggling with testing, 2-5k views or do I need 20-30k views right from the start with 600-1k likes?

Also are these regular views or high retention views?

It took me a week and a half to get approved for monetization. About 1/3 were bought, and then I had about 18,000 actual monetized playbacks

I’m from Los Angeles, does that play a part in CPM? I’m not sure if this helps at all, but I’m also not a part of an MCN, this is strictly Google Adsense

I'm not buying views at the moment. Done it in past when the unlisted method worked (1k per video)
