Hi guys!

Recently I launched Lead Generation ads for one VoIP Business in my country, I made a really good audience of 50.000 people, targeting is very thin, estimated daily reach which was calculated by facebook is somewhere between 400-1500 people. Targeted FB Newsfeed + Instagram Newsfeed. Have 2 promo-pictures(Adverts) which both are working in the same Ads Set.

I made a creative a photo with almost no text, checked it with the Facebook Text Tool - pic was good to go.

Then I set up my budget to $3.33 and manual bidding to $5.5( est. average CPM cost for my audience is $5.5). * Note, the facebook doesn't spend all my budget, even on first day.

I launched my campaign and for 2 days it was rocking, reached close to 1000 people, THEN suddenly on the next day without any reason it just dropped from 400-500 people per day to 40-50 per day! And I can't understand why!

I checked everything from my audience, to my bidding strategy it looked good! Then I decided to change my bidding strategy from Manual to Automatic - Waited for 24 hours, it didn't work either! Got 40 people reached on 4th day.

Here I decided to relaunch my Ads Set, cloned everything, waited for approval and relaunched. What do you think? In just 4 hours I reached 200 people! That was yesterday.

Today I got rolled back again!:( and it's more than 15 hours since midnight and I got only 60 people reached!

What the hell should I do here to solve this problem?

One of the guys who I know, adviced me to use Video instead of the Static Picture, it can increase my reach dramatically. What do you think about this?

Possibly, the problem is in those 2 pictures(adverts) that I use for one Ads Set? Maybe, I need to delete one of them and leave only 1?

What can be wrong with my campaign guys? Please advice!

Waiting for your reply!

Kind Regards,
SGD

it is better to run multiple campaigns on different accounts.. you clone 10 campaigns for each account.. different accounts, different reach and different rate..

That's interesting and does it work?

What do you think about my issue, why do I have this strange campaign behavior?

it's not strange at all.. just run similar campaigns and stop or pause those that are high on rates.. in the long run, all those rates will go higher and higher as FB deems it that you are satisfied with the result and ready to pay higher rates... that's how it goes..

Interesting! i thought if rates are high by time fb will lower them but i guess i was wrong

I don't understand, could you explain me, when I launch a fresh campaign it gets big reach, then suddenly on the next day, straight after midnight 00:00 the campaign gets so slow and doesn't reach almost anyone in that particular day! Why it's happening?

Moreover, should I run those campaigns on the same account or I have to create multiple ad accounts and run campaigns on them separately?

And that's the costs for ads isn't the issue that I'm concerned, my company is ready to pay but why the reach becomes small on the second day all the time?

the more time you run your campaign, the more fb thinks you are making more profits.. they wanted their share of the pie, hence, they will raise the cost higher and higher until you pause/stop them.. then, you can always turn it ON again after a day or 2 and check if it normalizes again, cost-wise... if you have run multiple campaigns, your chances of getting your desired cost/rate are better.

different times, different results. when your rates/cost have increased drastically, don't get surprised as FB is warming up too.. now, during the first day, you will get tons of bots traffic - meaning, reach is way high than normal... then in 2-3 days, you will get your REAL traffic.

I would suggest you run the same campaigns on 1 account.. and similar campaigns on other accounts.. when I say similar, should have at least different creative - image, text, headlines, etc...

the more campaigns you have, the better your reach are... remember, FB wants to profit too.. so, they will run your competitor's campaign too.. those that are paying more, will make it to the top... my advice: be your own competitor...

what? THAT"S THE BOT TRAFFIC? how it's possible? - so the 50 people a day that I have is the real traffic?

So for me it will be better to run cloned campaign on the same account right?

I can clone 10 campaigns for example, run them all, they will drive traffic to my ad? - That's all?

Or I have to change something in of of those ads to run them? So I won't get blocked and etc?

What did you mean by similar campaigns in different accounts? And why do I need to run campaigns in different accounts?

- FB runs bots traffic to check and test your campaigns, i.e. links, images, etc... remember they have lots of flagged links/contents, pages, etc..

- Yes. And make sure to pause/stop those that are of high costs.

Or I have to change something in of of those ads to run them? So I won't get blocked and etc?
- You can try that too on the same account, but disapproval rate is high.. So, better do that with another account.

What did you mean by similar campaigns in different accounts? And why do I need to run campaigns in different accounts?
- when I say similiar, it is not the really the same.. so, you change your creative - images, texts, headlines, links, etc (but not necessarily all).

Wow.. thanks for this explanation.

Could you please explain me the 2 last things I don't really understand.

#Question 1

I have a big audience of 50.000 people, Facebook calculated estimated daily reach to 400-1500 people, in the first days I understand now that it's the bot's traffic mostly. But what happens next? If I have so big audience, why my ads are shown only to small group of people everyday?

Moreover, I have free budget to spend on CPM, why Facebook doesn't show my ads to everyone then?

#Question 2

I spoke with couple of PPC Managers who work with FB in regards to Lead Generation Ads, and I got almost the same answer on - Why I get so low traffic. - They told me that they have low traffic too on new campaigns which they launch, they say that some change in Facebook's algorithm was made, and now ads are not shown so good as before. What do you think about this? Was there any problem like this before or it's a new thing for Lead Gen? The same thing applies to Click Campaigns too?

Because, I just launched the 2nd Campaign made from Look-A-Like audience and I got today bot traffic too and I believe that tomorrow my reach will drop again...

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Kind Regards,

yes,u can try video ads,its have great reach..just try it...

If I have the video with 1 picture which is stretched for 7 seconds, for example, will the Facebook count this as the video ? Or it won't? Or the video should be dynamic, different pictures, scenes and etc?

Or 1 picture/7seconds will be enough?
