This is right. Expired web 2.0s are not powerful nowdays. Even i feel same way with fresh domains.

Sometimes PBN and other expired web2.0s or domain sellers hyping theym even without testing.

After last rollout (was few days ago) it's even more proven.

My expired domain PBN affects a bit (decreased -5 accprdomg tp serpcloud) but haven't affected to my contextual tiered link building pattern.

I would suggest you to throw some quality selected contextual platforms and web2.0s. You easily can do this if you use gsa ser with it.

Personally I find expired web 2.0s pretty effective for low comp stuff. Not on the same level as PBN by far but as the price is way less I reckon they're worth using on low comp. Some expired weebly I used that I found out had some .edu backlinks is ranking one of my pages for 26 KC kw as only link to that page

Have you tried to make web 2.0 PBNs or just using the web 2,0 individually for backlinks?

I don't know what you mean by web 2.0 pbn exactly, but generally just 3 pages, about, contact, blog with a few articles & videos + my link

If you built the web2s, whether new or expired, then they are you personal link network, unless you start selling links on them.
A bundle of web2s aren't truly a PBN though, as you have little control over the sites, an external can delete the domain at whim, and they won't be as powerful as a quality PBN.
Use web2 backlinks, but don't fall under the false assumption they are truly a PBN.

I know what you're trying to say about the fragility of web 2.0 accounts but I was asking OP if he actually interlinked his web 2.0s into each other by friending/following the ones on the same network rather than just creating individual backlinks out of each web 2.0 account.

What I mean is supposing he has 20 expired tumblrs with high trust flow and high PA, before it's ready to link out he should connect each one of those 20 accounts by having them reblog some of their posts. That groups them together in google's eyes. Same as how when you friend someone on facebook and reblog their feed it looks a lot more like a linkwheel to google than when each web 2.0 properly is operating independently. You can also embed tweets into fb or tumblr and interlink them further that way.

The danger of losing a web 2.0 PBN is an entirely different issue. A TLD PBN can get deindexed and a web 2.0 PBN can lose some or all of it's accounts. I'd still argue that a web 2.0 is still a PBN for SEO purposes, it's just sites hosted on subdomains run by the big social networks as opposed to tlds hosted on your server.
