Irma, go away don't come to florida :(

tbh, im kinda worried man, if that hits florida, imma be in trouble. def going to have try get ou t.
Hopefully you get out with time to spare. I lived in New Orleans before Katrina and the worst part about trying to get out is everyone would try to do it at the same time and usually people just run out of gas without making it anywhere because of the gridlock.

Hurricanes in Florida
Worst projected year for tornadoes out west
Drought in California
Man, Ohio doesn't look so bad right now... Well besides the fact it is still Ohio.

Stay safe everyone.

Thank god I listen to Grant Cardone and I lease vs buying a home ^_^

We are probably not far from one another... worst case scenario is 100 MPH winds, expected is 70 MPH winds, hoping it continues on a westerly path.

70 is fine, 100 makes me nervous but I am confident we will be OK.

Prepare your backside off as over preparing is much better than not.

Yep.. Got lots of water, canned food, & gasoline stocked up.
Drove around my neighborhood earlier, everyone boarded up their windows with wood or metal.
Had no power for a week last year during Matthew. Lots of power lines got knocked down from trees. Expecting worse this time around.

Do people in Florida have basements or is that mainly the mid west?

Stay safe and keep the faith.

This is a pretty cool web app for tracking the hurricane and visualizing the wind speed among many other things. The timeline at the bottom lets you see where the hurricane is projected to move over time. In case anyone is interested in that kinda thing, its the best one I've found: https://www.ventusky.com/?p=25.1;-77.0;5&l=wind-950hpa&t=20170909/03

Or you could just have home insurance. One guy I knew profited $500,000+ from a rebuilt home after a disaster

Sorry to you guys affected by this flooding. I wish I have the power to help in the way I can.
