Is this a good idea?

I have a new credit card site that is only 3 week old. All the pages are indexed in Google but traffic is minimal. Around 1-2 visitors/daily from Google.

The site has several hundreds of inbound links from 30 articles submissions to EZA,top 10 article directories, UAW and Articlemarketer directories plus social bookmarking sites.

I can only think of one reason. Google don't trust my site because of the age factor. Is it a good idea to buy 1 year old, PR 0 credit card site and 301 permanent redirect it to my new credit card site.?

I only need Google to see my new credit card site as "old" . I don't need PR and links from the older credit card site I am going to buy.

301 redirect from other site will pass everything on your new one , unfortunately will not pass hes age lol

I after some terms that are not too competitve and optimize my inner pages for that terms for example.

"halifax credit cards" 3,800 result in google with qotes
"zero interest credit card" 24,900 results with qoutes

My listing is deep down buried under my articles and other sites for term "halifax credit cards", a term with very low competition . I actually get ranked at #370 for this term . I got this term from micro niche finder software. I only after terms that are indicated as green and yellow in the sw.

All pages on my site are deep linked.

I wouldn't, personally yes i'd grab some old domains for 5 bucks on TDNAM and push out new sites but i'd leave the current one.

If you did trip a penalty, the 301 would carry over and ruin both domains.

I done a batch of Mortgage/Credit Card sites a month ago also using the green MNF results and yep i hit both those terms you mentioned. Even my new domains are doing ok, so just domain age isn't likely your major issue.

I'd look at diversifying you link profile beyond articles/bookmarking first.

The "Number of Links" is a really bad metric to measure anything. If i give myself 1 backlink from my PR7 domain, it will be far stronger than 1,000 backlinks from a mass article submit.

Many people think all links count, that's not true Google can assign little or even zero benefit to individual links, backlinks from certain pages or even links from whole sites. From your 700 links, who knows maybe only 50 are contributing to a positive score.

Try and get some quality/authority links besides just blasting articles and bookmarking.

exactly right, make sure you're targeting high quality links rather than sheer numbers.

Makes sense. Could it be that one of the reasons is I uploaded all of my articles to my site in one batch on day # 1 and then don't add new content afterward?

Not "really" for instance i've uploaded 3 Million pages on day one to a new domain, then within 2 months it was PR6 and getting 20k uniques a day after link building. A site that just appears online in one hit isn't un-natural, many legit sites get built offline and sent live fully done.

But.. A site that's frequently pushing out new content is a little more likely to attract regular/fresh links, get bookmarked etc than a static one. Also new content promotes crawling, and takes advantage of fresh content boost.

Basically better links, more content and kick off a few more sites in the same niche just in case you have snagged a penalty for something.

Fairly unorthodox stuff to the normal i guess, if you get a chance one day i suggest reading all the Google patents surrounding detection of spam nodes in a hypertext engine, and information retrieval (scoring) based on historical data. Way more informative than the latest Clickbank backlink ebook.
