Hi guys,

I've been reading the forum for a couple of days now and CC's are really interesting me. I'm wondering if anyone has a 'how to start' guide (ie great blogs to follow, influential traders, best brokers etc) or could provide their own guide for those wanting to get on board?

Thanks!

@JackMagic You can start by reading blog and news channel - coindesk.com

They cover everything related to blockchain news and trending events. Hope this will help. :)

Now it`s the perfect time to start...all coins are in a dip.....buy litecoin, ark, and if u really want some high risk/high reward coins go for District0x and NEO.

I'm pretty new to CC as a whole, too. I've found that you have to dig through a bunch of information to make a solid decision.

Personally I think bitcoin is a good place to start. I know with the smaller coins you can easily make 10x profit if you know what you are doing, but personally I lost a fair amount of money in those little coins (Because I didnt know what I was doing!!).

With bitcoin, its lower potential but more stability.

I think you should start tracking it for a little while until you understand enough to invest.

I notice here in the UK that it falls on the weekends and then cimbs back up in the week. It also often opens low and climbs all day.

Good thing with bitcoin is that you can make money on the short term seeing as its so volatile and (hopefully) its going to be here for the long haul so even if you get in at the wrong time and it drops initially, you have a good investment if you hold on to it.

i think you are not in the best place
for CC you need to live and spend your day in bitcointalk (forum)
and you will learn alot from this forum

DNT is still in it`s infancy.....their platform is all most ready lunching end of september....listing on bittrex is pending after the shareholders voted to pay the 5k $ listing fee...the coin is dirty cheap now and the chances of high returns are good....but don`t forget in cryptos nothing is certain....do ur own research and take ur own decisions.

Can u tell more about District0x?

Bitcoin is the world’s first cryptocurrency and it is expanding in popularity worldwide.,,, now you can trade bitcoin with among best(for now) like Avatrade and plus500 and all, but I would like to suggest you my friend my friend that do more research before using any bitcoin or any CC's broker. Good Luck!

Safest way to start, once you have a grip of what it is all about:

  1. Get a copy of linux on a usb (either unbutu or mint should be good). Ensuring that you get it officially from a reputable company, to ensure it is CLEAN!
  2. Boot into that from your computer.
  3. Download and install a wallet from a reputable source, leave it on that stick.
  4. Create and copy down your public address, and use it for investing, mining, whatever you chose to get you cryptocurrency.
  5. Backup that stick by cloning it at least 3 times.
  6. NEVER use that stick on a windows computer or do ANYTHING to it with any OS other than the clean one you have on it.
  7. NEVER use this OS to do anything aside from your wallet, making sure to get links to official sites and resources on another computer prior to visiting them on it. (This way you don't have to use search for anything!)
  8. Think about also utilizing a paper wallet from this OS as well. (look up how to do it, it's easy!)
If you do all of those things, you will be safe and sound with your investments. Of course, keep the sticks is a secure place and don't let any shithead friends or family near them! ;)
