Maybe this is just me, but most people on here seem to love when someone posts a free ebook download. I am against these mainstream ebooks. They rarely contain any useful information and the tactics and saturated. I think we need to discuss new and fresh tactics within this community, instead of trying to make something out of old ebooks.

I sense flames coming. :swordfigh

I think people just like the idea of getting ebooks for free rather than paying for them. But I do agree that we need more new tactics but its hard to reinvent the wheel if you get what I mean.

There are still a lot of newbies coming to this forum. Don't you think those books will definitely help them?

The books being helpful or not are really up to the reader to decide. The reader could be a new person to that information or advanced in that field. Fresh discussions happen every day here and I can't imagine the money I would have lost paying for simple information like making money with articles :twitch:

I don't think change should be made :champion: New people come and learn then move up the ranks and realize e-books are not worth it. Simple as that :o
It's more like exploited books. The authors leave exploits so we exploit it only for our knowledgeable benefit. If it's worth paying for your ethics should tell you buy it.

And I think this thread shouldnt be in the Black Hat SEO section

I must be missing something. I learned a lot from ebooks.

Lotsa crap.
Lotsa good stuff.

Only one brain to filter it with.

(OK, OK, OK. I won't make the quip that's on the tip of my tongue. :) )

I think learning what to choose is far more important than throwing out an entire resource. I see BHW as a place that basically teaches what to choose.

You gotta start somewhere. If you don't have a mentor, you gotta start with ebooks for Internet marketing. The alternatives are worse.

As a PS to the above post, I have noticed quite a surge in the number of normal freebies (with need to opt-in), sample chapters, even a few sales letter, etc., being used to open new threads and mentioned as if they were the entire book.

Not complaining. Just noticing.

I wonder what these people hope to accomplish in this environment.

Good question... I think it's to show that 99% of the ebooks being sold are little more than rehashed information. One of the worst ebooks I've ever seen was a collection of affiliate links to web sites that were selling books on how to start a home business! The book contained absolutely NOTHING of value!

They will accomplish nothing here. This isnt DP. Once they realise nobody in BHW will buy crap like that, ppl doing that will move on to other forums.
