BHW Discord Server

So I was just reading the thread about the now defunct IRC chat.

Why not have an official BHW discord server? It will take minimal time to setup, an admin can have us up and running in a few minutes, and there isn't much that has to be managed (technically at least).

Many subreddits/gamers use discord to talke and text.

Thoughts?

Well... BHW is a forum. Why not just talk and text on BHW???

I feel BHW isn't as active as when I first registered. Bringing the conversation elsewhere will just make the problem worse.

Yes, that thought did not cross my mind.

Having discord will take away some of the content that otherwise would have been posted in the forum?

As mentioned elsewhere. We want to keep the conversation on the forum. Discussion is basically the whole point of a forum.

We have the private message function if you want to take something out of the public realm and VIP user groups have their own private sub forums to discuss with like minded people.
Chat groups just end up getting spammed.
