Fake followers kills engagement?

Hey,

Does having fake followers effect your engagement? Would a post posted have a less chance to appear on Instagrams Explorer?

Plus, What if someone already bought many of them. Should he start over with a new account to get to the Explorer and start gaining real followers? Or he could just continue using the same account?

Nothing good comes out of having fake followers. Fake followers don't play a big role in reaching the explore page, but pic likes do.

Of course.

How will you get initial boost of likes if your followers are fake and nit engaging?

To hit explore page, you need likes from your own followers + likes from users who checked hashtags you've used.

Of course, you can always buy likes and try to reach explore page that way, but sooner or later, you'll experience shadow banning.

Yes, I do not understand why do people even want fake followers. Does only harm, no good.
Consider you have 10k followers out of which 5k are fake, your engagement will end up being 1% and such accounts are considered to be worthless.

There are two options:

If it were me, I would keep the account and try to get real followers. People will be more inclined to follow an account if it already has a good number of followers. Once the new followers start engaging, the fake ones won't matter as much.

I agree with @Stiletto. If you really want to keep the account then just block all non engaging followers if you have a bot. If you don't want to do that, then I see no point in continuing with the account..

You'll just have to work harder to get more real fans and engagement. Use right hashtags when posting, follow/unfollow users in your niche, like their posts, like posts of your followers so they notice you and like back...

Not necessarily, might actually increase the amount of organic followers if you have tens of thousands of fake followers. Can you give us how many followers the page has and how many likes each post gets on average? Would be a lot easier to tell if this account is worth the effort or not

The accounts followers are almost 99% fake and likes are fake too. Would the person be able to get some organic followers by following and unfollowing people since his account got 150k+ Followers and gets 20k+ like on each post, Plus the posts are unique and actually look good.

You shouldn't do follow/unfollow method with 150k followers, you could risk a shadow ban. If you were to completely stop the fake likes, you would be left with a 150k account with probably a real engagement level of around 1% which is very poor. Chances are the account is already shadow banned but you just can't tell because of all the fake likes. As said above, block all the followers who are not engaging and there is some hope for improvement.

I would start over. Look, it's all fake. So consider that stuff as nothing. How are you going to market or engage those fakes? You can create a new Instagram account and grow it really fast if you post right and do some tag research. I have done really well with my Pretty Latex Girls account and all followers and likes are 100% legit. I only have about 16k followers but I hope to get it growing really fast. I also wanted to add that likes really depend on the content. Some girls I post get a ton of likes and some I post hardly get any. I keep track of the ones that get the most like and find photos that are the same. Sorry....I went off a little bit but...Instagram not a hard gig when you do it the right way. Having a lot of fun actually, and I know that all my followers and likes are 100% legit.
