Ripple/XRP

well ripple isn't going to the moon anytime soon but it's a pretty solid coin which has a huge marketcap.

Barto I red on the forum you spent a lot of money on Dimcoin, correct if I am wrong... I think you're pretty sure this ICO will moon in the future. Why you think so? What has it so special? The ICO is ended, but I am intersted into the coin, do you think is it profitable as well to jump into the coin?

I don't know, it was just gut feeling. I got into cryptos not too long ago and I'm still learning. I decided to take the risk with Dim.

Only invest what you can afford to lose. I have no idea if this will go up, it is money I had allocated for high risk. Also replied to your PM with the same advice as given here in public.

Same here barto. New to crypto, but I trust fellow bhwer they have the best advice ever (and also do your own research).

The thing is the coin which going be to up will be the coin with good tech support team and some updates going on in upcoming month.
Updates = price going high.

I have invested money in tenx nearly 200 and have $350 in 24 hours because I saw a vid the owner said he is releasing debit card worldwide. No Joke my speculation is tenx will be 10$ by the end of september.

And also i have an eye on ripple.
It was 0.0003000 when it goes down and then goes up to 0.0006000 in few weeks, dunno how?
But that is basically 2x of investment.
So, you are not hurting if you buy it at cheap price.

See Ya

Honestly, It depends on how long you want to hold it for. It will go up, just not as immediate as the other currencies/assets.

Also, looking at the order books, you'll see that people are keeping the price from rising, not the arbitrary news of ripple's development.

If it's trading, and trading top 10 for that matter, its worth something. Keep that in mind.

They got lot of coins so its price will not go very high soon but still since last one year this coin has given a good profit to investors.

I say go with DNT rather than ripple. DNT is dirt cheap now and in september they are launching their platform so the price will be pumped. I will open a thread about DNT and ARK.

DNT seems interesting with all the "districts" they are building.

I intend on dropping $500 in Ripple within the next week. Someone in this thread already said it, it's a long term investment vehicle. And someone else also pointed out one of its main defining factors in that it is governed by "banks". It is this factor that sets it apart, which can be a good or bad thing. I personally don't forsee everyone jumping on the crytpocurrency bandwagon just yet, and that there will be plenty of people are inclined to invest in something with bank-like oversight. If you do research on XRP, there have been several huge banks in Saudi Arabia that have invested in it heavily.. Where you have Yin, you have Yang.. XRP will be a player for a long time to come.

I have some XRP and believe it's a good long term hold. If you're after shorter term gains it's probably not the best, having said that, they are holding a 3 day event called SWELL with some impressive speakers and they are expected to make some announcements in Q3/Q4 (Miguel said they will make an announcement regarding payment partners). Also, the japanese consortium of banks are due to go live in Q4. My point is the price should rise with rampant speculation in the build up to the event in mid October. I'd expect it to go to about 0.35 without announcements and if they make a big announcement during SWELL it could easily create an all time high.

if u dont care....trade fiat is more safe than cryptos...for me trading cryptos is a personal fuck u sent to the banks.

I don't care about it being safe, I care about it being insanely profitable. If I wanted safe methods, I've got online businesses for that and I do trade fiat as well, but there is no freaking way you can turn $10k in $1M with fiat. However, you can do that with crypto, or rather you could easily enough if you played with it before. Nowadays it's getting harder to spot the BS coins from the good ones as tons of scammy ICO-s are being announced every month. And big LOL at your beliefs - if you think crypto won't be used by the banks in the future and if you seriously, like really seriously, think crypto won't be under the control of the government, you really need to step outside in the real world. You will never say fuck you to banks... on the contrary, as it has happened since the dawn of mankind, banks will always fuck you over, just wait for it.

what do you mean with ''people are keeping the price from rising''?

People do not want it go higher?

the problem with Ripple is that it can't grown x3, x10 or x100, cause there are so much coin circulation and a big Market cap

If you look at the exchange websites, and look at the current trades/ bids & asks, you will see that price is being controlled. It always is.

Either by a whale, or a large amount of people that anchored to walls set by short-mid term traders. Whether it's one person or many (or bots acting in place of people), there are walls set by traders of all sorts that prevent price rises/falls.

Sure everyone does have a point that it'll take such a large volume of btc to have very profitable price rise in the short term for ripple/xrp. However, since everyone (whales, traders, and bot traders alike) believes that, they will anchor the price to profit from such beliefs.

Remember, the market is made up of humans, and bots acting in the place of humans.

I would respectfully disagree. It's already x40 within the space of 2 or 3 months for folks who got in at .5 cent, and that was primarily based on an announcement about Japanese banks. It then fell but recently doubled based on a few tweets counting down to the announcement of their swell event (which is on the same day and city as SIBOS, a swift event. No other crypto currency has done something like that in the past.

So based on the fact that it doubled on speculation alone around a couple of minor enough tweets leads me to believe that when it does actually get utilized by banks it will go to a couple of dollars. I think it will probably hit an ATH with the upcoming conference in October. I invisage rampant speculation and hopefully a few solid announcements or endorsements. I don't think the market cap argument applies to this coin, it has the potential to blow others out of the water if fully utilized.

Ripple had a great day. First time in a long time. Down off the high mark a bit, but solid even if you didn't sell at the peak.

Any truth to rumor someone else posted about Amazon and Uber exploring XRP usage? I can't find a mention on the net.

Any predicts for what it might do tomorrow?
