Qucik question about amazon affiliate

Hey guys just wanted to know If needed to sign up to something other than normal amazon to use or get a affiliate link of a product?

Hope you don't mind me asking. ive not done this before and need to ask another question

I have to sign up etc... but looking at this :
List all the top level domains and/or mobile apps on which you plan to display banners, widgets, Special Links, or other ads from Amazon Associates. You need to add at least one website or mobile app. You can add up to 50 websites or mobile apps.

do I need to set pages etc up before this or is there an easy way past this?
