Google loves Hubpages or Squidoo?

I'm planning to do some product reviews and I'm wondering should I use Hubpages or Squidoo?

I've heard people saying Squidoo is more SEO-optimized thus you can get the first SERP easily. But recently I read a thread in this forum, a guy said Google loves Hubpages more.

What is your opinion, fellows?

I think it has more to do with your actual content than either of the sites. Not to mention you can build backlinks to either of your pages and supplement if one is not as strong as the other by default.

I agree with the demon, it depends on the backlinks. Either way it's easier to rank an affiliate review using those sites, as they are already authority sites with millions of backlinks, so they naturally rank easier than a simple site on eg: your server.

I regularly create linkwheels with up to 24 different web 2.0 properties. Before I build any backlinks, these four properties consistently rank better than any others.

The Big 4: Hubpages, Squidoo, Wordpress.com, Blogger.com

There is little difference between these 4 with regard to their ranking potential, except perhaps that hubpages always tends to be indexed first.

I think Squidoo is done. I had a lens that was #2 for a long time. Now it's gone. BTW my EZA article was and is still #1.

Yeah EZA ranks #1 page of google all the time.

Squidoo doesn't rank like it used to and what with all their changes about
affiliates and spam lenses I don't even bother with them anymore.

It's more like neither. I remember back in 2004-2005 when ppl thought blogger blogs were Google optimized..lol they were wrong!

Hubpages i feel get indexed far quicker due to tag pages and a whole lot more internal links coming into your "hubs". However you have to be careful what you put on there because it they like banning people for "over commercial" hubs.

Hubpages tend to get ranked really fast, but likewise its easy to get flagged and lose its ranking too.

Squidoo/Wordpress/Blogger is slightly better IMO. You'll see most people using them to promote new launches with good success. Give it a try and see what works. Even better, post to all of em

It sucks how all these social networking/community sites are so stringent about marketing. Hubpages plasters your page with adsense ads, so what's wrong with putting a few links of you own? greedy bastards.

That's why many people are experiencing no success with HP or Squidoo.

These days it's not enough just to create a Squidoo or Hubpages and expect to get first page. You'll need some backlinks to boost it up.

Use hubpages - i have more than 200 articles there and iam very sure about its authority.But recently the authority for hubpages has been a bit reduced.But when it comes to hubs or squids,hubs win !! And you know what,yahoo has huge love for hubs.Do you know that?Just make a long tail post and see your hub ranked in just 2 or 3 days.

If by promote you mean PPC then yes I can see that happening. Link Wheels are working like a charm for me, I have found however that Hubpages are much more likely to shut down my sites than the others if the page doesn't represent a "good user experience..."

In my experience - hubpages, quizilla, eza have ranked Page 1 for my KW. But then it could be the fact that I am building links to these as well
