I've had a lot of tried and failed ideas in the past, trying to join in on a flooded market, not releasing the workload involved etc.

It finally just clicked with me today, I've am fully aware of a niche that i can get a great http://www.Howto domain and fill with instructional videos, on keywords this term is bing searched 1k-10k and another one being searched 10k-100k per month.

What I need now is advice.
Is this idea worth pursuing?
Who should i use as a webhost and domian?
What will i put on the page to monetize?
Am I wasting my time yet again?

I hope someone can send me in the right direction

i am feeling with you.. i am not that long in the game, but still only with little success. However, it sounds to me that you have what i lack (content) and you lack what i have (technical skills).
i really like doing things alone, not having to be reliant on or trust someone else, but yesterday i was reading an inspiring article by bhw's member bloodyninja where he mentioned "Great things are built by teams."
So i just thought what the heck.. /w me, worst case we exchange some thoughts.

Greetings

Are you making the How-to videos or stealing them or 'hosting' them? If your making the videos, you can just use youtube and adsense the videos. On the page you can adsense the side bars.
Additionally, if the how to is to make something, for your quitters you could have links to amazon under your videos to get the finished product (if amazon has it) Also, any equipment or materials used I would link to products on amazon.

Additional answers: if your not stealing content you can use most hosting services, depending on your budget, dedicated is better for load speeds. For your domain 1and1 usually has a sale for new customers to get a URL for $1 (new customer means new email, just get a new email if they wont give you the deal since you already used it).
IS it worth your time? Of course, if you fail, you learned something and will do better next time and I bet you understand what happens if you succeed.

You aren't going to survive long if you don't think this through. Also, it is best not to post your ideas/niches on BHW or any other sites, because potentially it may be stolen, just a heads up!
