This isn't a post for beginners. This post is intended for those who already can bring traffic, and are looking to make more money out of it.

In this internet marketing industry, I see people who focus too much on just bringing as much traffic to their offers as possible.

Traffic is of course necessary to make $$$.

However, once you have a solid method for bringing traffic to your offers, it's time to start thinking more advanced and start milking that traffic for the most $$$ it can possibly bring you. You could be losing out on thousands of $$$ if not tens of thousands by not milking your traffic that you already have. That is a problem.

The answer: Learning how to actually sell.

The channels of communications will always be changing: different social medias, different ways of talking like phone, internet, real life, etc. But human psychology does not change. At least, not in your or my life time. We can use this to our advantage by leveraging psychology to get people to buy our shit.

Look to implement these strategies in whatever you're doing right now: Email marketing, social media marketing like Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat, on the phone, text messaging, etc.

We will use NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) to achieve this. That term is a fancy term that sounds like sci-fi fantasy but it just refers to the "language" of people's minds. We can get them to do whatever we want. That means selling them shit in this scenario. If you are a pimp, then you can use NLP for other reasons. ;)

These are the 5 strategies that will increase how much $$$ you make. I will also give an example of each strategy at play because I'm feeling nice today.

1 - Storytelling

Tell a vivid, memorable, and compelling story that your target audience can insert themselves into and relate with. We can make them feel shitty about their situation and jab at their pain because then this sets us up to offer the solution that will solve their problem. This is powerful because by doing this, your audience will connect and trust you. You then follow it up with your offer.

Example for weight-loss product:
I remember I went to my cousin's annual beach party. When I got there, I greeted my friends and family and was having a great time at first. We drank cocktails, chatted about life, and ate great food. Then, when everyone started to swim, I was so ashamed of my body. All my family was in amazing shape and then there was me. I was so self-conscious about having a big belly and man boobs that I kept my shirt on. Since I started using (YOUR PRODUCT HERE) I... (Bla bla bla about your product)

2 - Using our human senses

Use the 5 senses to make people really connect with what you’re talking about. This actually sub-consciously triggers people to relate with whatever you say on a deeper level because these are the same 5 senses that we as humans experience life (Side note: some animals like a hammerhead shark have different/more senses, how weird is that to think about?). The first 3 below in the example are the most powerful. By saying something like "I see what you're going through, and I heard your concerns, this is what I recommend: (YOUR PRODUCT HERE)." This makes them feel understood and reassures them that you know what they need.

Examples:
● SEEING: I can SEE how you feel.
● FEELING: This program will help you GET A GRIP on your finances.
● HEARING: After HEARING all of your concerns, I feel that you are a good fit...
● TASTING: If you are tired of TASTING defeat, then I urge you...
● SMELLING: Imagine taking a rose petal bath at a 5-star hotel...

3 - Focus on positives (OR focus on negatives to hurt them, THEN END with positives)

The mind automatically tries to avoid pain, so anchor benefits of your program to positive outcomes. In my first example, I dug into the pain of an overweight person, but I would always follow it up with the POSITIVE effects of being fit. If you just try to make your audience feel insecure and give them pain, you will not sell them anything. It's okay to jab at their insecurity to make them aware of their problem at first, but end it off with a positive note as the mind tries its best to avoid pain.

Examples:
"This program will make you get fit" is BETTER THAN "This program will help you lose weight".

"This product cleans your floor and makes it spotless" is BETTER THAN "This product makes sure your floor is not dirty".

4 - Meta model questions

Asking a meta model question allows the reader to reflect on themselves. You force them to think about whatever you want them to think about through an unrelated question, which sets up the sale of your product.

Examples for "make money" products (such as MLM or similar programs):
● Where would you like to go on vacation if money wasn't a concern? (This gets them talking about an ideal vacation that they can't currently have, but you have the solution)
● What’s keeping you from achieving the lifestyle you deserve? (Gets them thinking about where they currently are, and how they DESERVE better, and you again, conveniently have that solution)
● How are you going to prepare for the next recession? (Gets them thinking about how they have nothing to prepare for next recession and you again, conveniently have the solution)

5 - Embedded commands

Embedded commands are sentences within sentences that anchor your desired action. To put it simply, you subtly command what you want them to do before they even do it.

Examples:
● When you join this program, you’re tapping into 30 years of direct sales experience. (They haven't joined yet, but you're subtly commanding them to join without them knowing)
● How would it feel to click that button and change your life forever? (They haven't clicked yet, but you're subtly commanding them to click)
● After your purchase of this product, you're going to also get a free CD that will be mailed to you. (They haven't purchased yet, but you're commanding them to purchase)

______________

These may seem simple on their own when looking at them, but when you start combining these tactics I guarantee your sales will go up. You can use these in whatever median you market your shit in. For example in Instagram, you can subtly make a caption that jabs at their problem, and in the bottom of the caption you can tell them to click your bio link for the solution.

Advanced marketers have been doing this shit for decades because it works. A quick google search of "NLP marketing" can give you more info if you want to pursue this further.

TLDR: There is none you lazy piece of shit. Read this all or peace. Understanding in depth stuff means you gotta actually read in depth stuff.

This is why NLP has such bad reputation. People "using" and "thinking" that nlp knowledge is the ultimate manipulation shit.

Otherwise: talking as your client, translating your message into his own, asking questions is always useful and nice as long as you make sure that the product/service is useful for your client. This shit is like ancient stuff in the field of nlp and in any long term human relationship. It's more like foundation for being human...

NLP works (more or less). My message is related to the intention and the way of looking at other people (you are under my command shit !).

Plus you have to train with someone good when it comes to embedded commands. ;)
Try Society NLP.

Not really sure why you're highlighting that part in red. It is true that we can get people to do whatever we want, of course not for 100% of people, but for some/most. Stop nitpicking the definitive meaning of a few words and finding something wrong with it, it doesn't contribute anything.

Good post.

All about subliminal messaging!
