how to delete someone's youtube video?

Delete the video from youtube. Rename the file and then upload the video to youtube again. Youtube will think its a new video.

Yeah flagging other people's videos isn't just low, it's a huge waste of time. It's ALMOST as low as trying to get your competition's website blacklisted by big G. Thanks for the advice, the video I'm talking about is actually a live footage of my band playing at a metal festival. This guy didn't have any approval from us to record anything, and it seems that talking nicely with him didn't work. That's why I've asked you about any methods of making youtube delete someone else's video.

Also, flagging the video didn't lead to it's deletion...

Um, blackhat does mean and HAS meant doing dastardly and often illegal things for at least a decade before the first online affiliate program was created. If your personal interpretation is different, that's fantastic, but most people who've been around for a while have an entirely different perspective of what that word means, what it represents, and who can legitimately call themselves one.

There is no accomplishment if you just kill your competitor. That?s being a jerk. I don?t see how you could be cheater-happy unless you?re simply a jerk. There is no real definition to Black Hat. That was coined by the expression of being dirty and the ?evil? dark color black. Since it has no meanings call it what you want but at least here illegal isn?t in our definition of our usage of black hat.

Yes I understand what he?s saying. If you understood my post I actually agreed with him. I exampled one form of Black hat definition. That is here where illegal activity isn?t in the definition. You would see I went on to say there are a lot of definitions.

Don't take this the wrong way man, but you do know it's the year 2008, right?

Let me get this straight...this guy buys a ticket to a metal festival and likes your band so much that he tapes it and puts it on YouTube.

And your response is to try and make him take it down? Really?

Let me ask you something. If a TV news crew was at that same metal festival and taped your band, and wanted to show it on their TV station, would you also ask them to not air it?

Listen, I obviously don't know the whole situation as you haven't given many details. For instance, I don't know if you sell videos or have your own site or what. But I gotta think there's a better solution than trying to FORCE this guy to take his video down.

What if his video is actually HELPING your band get exposure? What if a record label or club owner saw that video and liked it?

I'm just saying, you're view of the whole situation seems like it may be a little short-sighted.

I mean shouldn't you like the fact there are fans out there who like your band and want to share your music with others?

It might be a little different if you were an established band with a CD that was being shared worldwide on the internet. But as a small up-and-coming band, isn't any kind of exposure a good thing?

Haven't you seen how other bands and comedians and performers are using YouTube and MySpace? Just wondering.
