Ask Me Anything: Instagram's Asshole

Hey man, I want to say thank you so much for this thread. Right now I'm writing up a business plan and I'm going to take it into action in September, I've been growing my own accounts successfully on Instagram for a year now and I think I can turn this into a real business.

I have 3 main questions
1.) I'm going to be providing this service to local business, and then later expand into meeting clients online like you do. Lets say there's a restaurant in one city only that I'm working with, how can I go about ensuring that the people I'll be following are local? You said you can scrape by location ID, but is location ID accurate to the city level? I was thinking about just using local hashtags, but almost all local hashtags are just other small businesses trying to advertise.
2.) Do you still use FL? I used to use a service IGERSLike when my accounts were small enough to need a followbot/likebot but IGERSLike is expensive and FL is now charging month to month too. Any alternatives? Think I'll just go back to IGERSLike, it was about as good as FL just a little pricey.
3.) You said you used a scraper to find Instagram accounts with email's linked so you could pitch at clients, did you pay for the scraper itself or did you pay someone per 1000 emails gotten or something? Did you find them over Fiverr or on BHW? I have little technical ability tbh so I think I'll just pay someone per 1000 emails, I usually just outsource.
4.) Initially, since you said you needed to warm up accounts, did you ever not reach the 500 follower guarantee for the first month? If so, what did you do?
5.) Even though you guaranteed 500 followers, was it pretty normal for you to exceed this every month? What was your average follower per month?
6.) I'm going to offer three packages, one where I'll simply grow their account like you did, another where I'll growth their account and content manage, and another where I'll grow their account, content manage, and also work actively to convert their Instagram audience into customers for them (And I outline how I'll do that to them). I was planning on pricing it $350/mo for the first, $650/mo for the second, and then $850/mo for the last. What do you think of that pricing scheme?
7.) How long did you wait till you started DMing people using a bot? I don't want to get their account banned, was planning on waiting till like month 3 to start DMing.

Thanks a lot for the AMA man, really was extremely informative. The best and most indepth guide I've found on this.

Anyone got anymore questions write it out, I'll reply all of em in one shot :P

why are all of them being jerks to you on the first pages when you are clearly here to help other people out. Thanks man i really appreciate your info and good luck on your future quests :)

Thanks for the thread, it is really helpful!
I've written myself python bot mechanism both first liking 1 or 2 recent photos and then following the non private users with certain criteria. As a source I am using recent engagement of accounts who followed me and are in my niche. I suppose that these sources would be least suspicious to instagram. I've noticed that following the followers of accounts may lead to temporary ban, since you touch some inactive accounts.
My Questions:
1. What is the conversion ratio of accounts you follow/like? How many of them follow you back? I am currently having an average of 17% for the last 2 weeks when I started the automation, but I don't have anybody to compare to. Hopefully I will be able to sustain this growth speed.
2. How can I win money from my personal photography related account (without selling it, shoutouts or CPA as you apparently not fond of). How many followers should I have to look for sponsors?
3. Why do you consider the telegram engagement groups useless now?

Thanks OP for the advice.

1. Have you ever used giveaways and especially looped giveaways to boost following? Do you find they're worth the cost/work
2. Do you think that looped giveaways could get you in trouble with Instagram? (I plan to use those a lot so I better know the risk)

Hey :) thanks for your help!! @2xdswu

1. Do you think f/uf destroys your engagement on Instagram?
2. What is the best way to recover engagement?
3. if engagement is down, is it wise to stop botting?

how do you warm your new accounts up if you ever had.....

You talk a lot about scraping users from bigger accounts. I would like to know what filters exactly you use to scrape (for example no more than x followers, x followings, must have profile picture, must not be private etc.) I know it depends on niche so let's say cars or food niche. Thank you.

Do you still use FL after a change in their subscription plans?

First of all, you don't say you've 3 main questions when you've 7. I'm asian I'm good at counting.
1. You can't do it 100%, what you can is try to keep it at 60%. Location ID are accurate to city level as people tag where they're 95% of the time, the 5% of the time are throwbacks which people still are there before. Unless some hippy trys to act like they're there by not actually there. What I'd do is scrape to a country level instead of city level, so you've more leverage.
2. Yes, I do. And I'm switching to Justchillin/Imristo bot very soon as his bot and vision that I know is on another level. TBH, IMO FL hasn't been very "innovative" lately this year and back. Their bot hasn't been much of a change. As I said, I would like FL as soon as the feature from imristo bot is completed.
3. I pay for the scrapper and I filter them myself, fiverr are shit leads. Don't do it.... My general ratio of people replying are 3-10/100 emails I send. Which is really good for cold emailing. I could probably do a scrapping service myself tbh.
4. 500 isn't hard at all, I reach them everytime. Maybe in a week.
5. Yeah I always exceed it. First month at least 1-1.5k, 2second 3K and it goes higher and higher till 10K then it goes on a steady 2K a month.
6. the 3rd package will be hard so better to give realy statistics. Pricing are always a controversial topic, TBH what you feel is worth your time and your efforts to do. Go for it, don't care about market value or anything as people giving numbers are set by people afterall. Just don't go overboard.
7. I don't do DM.

Some people are just :S

I would advice not to use those recent engagement accounts who followed you.

1. 10-15% if I don't use my scrapper/filter to do it beforehand. 30-50% if I use it.
2. Photography hmmmmmm, what most photographer fail to understand is that they don't use their IG page as a portfolio. They use it as a platform just for sharing and getting recognition on their work, it's not a bad thing. TBH there's not much ways you can go with photography if you don't have a bigger picture with that, what I'd do if I'm a good photographer is to do some sort of a "Order to work" which by you get paid to take photo for a list of stuff that companies need your creative idea for. Meaning once they hire you and give you a specific list of shots and feel they want, you take a GOD DAMN shower and head out taking photos and submit work to them which they can use on brochures, flyers, website etc etc. I think this is a really cool idea, plus it's all original work.
3. Yes. Because you get shadowban and they're kind sketchy, not worth the effort to do it.

1. It's not a lot of effort tbh, if you've product laying around for clearing or a lil not up to standard it's always an good idea to give away tbh. Do it the right way in giving something out such as doing an event, which give you more material to post for.
2. Not that I can think of.

Hey :) thanks for your help!! @2xdswu

1. Do you think f/uf destroys your engagement on Instagram?
2. What is the best way to recover engagement?
3. if engagement is down, is it wise to stop botting?

1. Nope
2. It's hard to do so... it's more costly to recover an account than to start a new. However if your engagement are dropping and not where you want it to be, I'd do some powerlikes or autolikes to my post till it recover where I want it to be at least. Hence I highly advice you to start a new if the account isn't too huge. Buying fake followers are NOT the worst, if you do it moderately. But I advice still not to get them.

3. Engagement down, stop botting. Won't you have 0 engagement then ?

how do you warm your new accounts up if you ever had.....

You don't read don't you.

You talk a lot about scraping users from bigger accounts. I would like to know what filters exactly you use to scrape (for example no more than x followers, x followings, must have profile picture, must not be private etc.) I know it depends on niche so let's say cars or food niche. Thank you.

I filter everything including emails, gender and anything you can think of. Just one thing that is hard to filter is location because it's almost seems impossible to filter them as instagram doesn't allow it to be released in their private API hence it's not impossible but harder to filter them. I can do it pretty efficiently I guess.

Do you still use FL after a change in their subscription plans?

Yes I still do for a single reason, my friend (Imristo/justchillin) bot doesn't have the feature that I specifically want yet. As long as it has been implemented as it's being updated right now as we speak. I can say fairly soon I'm hoping over to his bot instead.

I have been trying to recover an account via the link and when they send me a verification email asking to take a pic holding a code and I send that reply in, THIS is what they reply with. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?

I've gotten an immediate ban when using FL on a new IG account.
However, I've gotten no ban when using FL on an aged IG account.
I've used one proxy per account from the same proxy provider.
On the new account I just posted one photo and updated the bio with FL.
After those two actions I got the ban.
How can I warm up a new IG account without getting the ban?
I don't get it and it frustrates me.

I have to mention that I purchased the new IG account from a user in USA.
Should I rather create my new IG accounts on my smartphone and use them with proxies on FL?
Thanks that you share your knowledge.

My question is, are there any techniques you are aware of to prevent an account being banned when doing CPA (e.g OGAds)?

I have some slightly aged accounts (2-3 months) with prelanders containing a CPA link and they have not been banned but I warmed up an account for 3 weeks and tried to do the same and it was banned in 24hours :S

I heard that you use FL. Do you use the Like feature? If so, do you like posts of users you have just followed or not necessarily? If the first one, is this even possible with FL?

What you can start out by doing is try to build good accounts with good engagement ratio and sell those accounts and get back some return on it. As times goes by every 1 or 2 you'd be able to sell 5-6 accounts if you're consistent and that would be a good low 4 digit income for yourself with less work since you're using a bot to grow them. From this you'll gain experience on how to grow account and lost a couple of accounts, don't get too attached to your accounts since you're still learning how to build em by bot. Good luck mate!

Very informative thread, thanks!

1. For brand new Instagram accounts, how often would you recommend I post new content?

2. FL is my default bot. You mentioned using additional scrapers since the FL filters are not good enough. Are they all your own private scrapers?

3. I’ve been splitting my time between Twitter and Instagram learning to use FL. I find engagement higher on Instagram and am considering spending more time on this platform. Do you think Instagram still has potential?

1- What best PVA or NON-PVA ( One of the seller told that if i get phone verification they gonna told me to use only phone not email )
2- Is it good to use Europe Accounts with USA proxies .
3- for new account , what the limit to follow and like per day .

If you're not a real influencer but shoutout page it doesn't mean anything, it just means you're a page with general followers which are not targeted which in most cases companies have no use of.

If you want to run a couple account stick to accounts that you like, no matter what niche you're in it does not matter as it's not important. You'll be able to get followers as long as your content you posting is running at full quality capacity. If you plan to run multiple accounts above 10, don't bother and go to explore pages and try to replicate others.

Quality > Quanity or Quantity > Quality, you can't choose both because it isn't ideal and unless you've lots of content creator and money to hire people to create them for you.

Hi 2xdswu,
I'm not an internet marketer or a service provider, but an artisan who runs an e-commerce. My aim is to eventually generate my own traffic.
1. You say that all big accounts aren't influencers, and that influencers need to be real people who are their own real brand, or shoutouts won't convert into sales. Does the same apply for power likes? If I'm looking to buy power likes for my main account, I should only buy them from "real influencers"? Not big accounts in my niche just because they have 1M followers? Even if those 1M are real followers, they won't convert unless it's a real influencer?
2. I want to create and grow a bunch of "support" accounts in and around my main account's niche to eventually use those to send likes (or redirect l4l) to my main account. Since those support accounts would have a more Quantity > Quality approach, would it be cheaper and faster to buy a 25K account and grow with power likes from there? Or should I start from 0 followers?

Thanks for your advice

I'm running a Soccer Boots(cleats) account and ppl are messaging me how to buy those boots,
I'm thinking to monetize it.
What are my. Options?

I've been using followliker for a while to increase my niche follower base ( travel ) and I have some questions as per how to execute a good strategy.

MY STRATEGY
I use followliker to follow people in my niche. I have a good follow / follow-back rate and I set the system to unfollow people who have not followed me in 3 days. This way I'm growing a lot but I'm also following a lot of people, which doesn't look too good.

So. every once in a while I'm manually unfollowing people; my followers that I also follow — which is very strenuous work — but when I do, I experience a massive drop in followers. ( P.S. the reason I do it manually is that I want to keep following some specific users )

QUESTIONS
  • Most of my followers are following between 400 and 1000 people, how do they find out I'm not following them anymore?
  • What would be your advice to gain followers in my niche fast and not follow the same amount of people?
  • Do you have any tip / technique on followliker to unfollow users without getting unfollowed back?

Thanks a lot for your help!
