Hello all.

I recently created a brand new eBay account and noticed that they have given me a 100 item/3000 pound limit per month.

I am confused because I was under the impression that eBay gives new sellers a limit of 10 items/650 pound per month.

The reason I am asking is because I was trying to make sure that this account was completely separate from one that exists at my home address (someone living with me has their own eBay business and I wanted to make sure that eBay would not link them in any way). I created the account using a new address, name, and bank details but I used a CC that shares the same address to pay the listing fees.

So, my question is - is this 100 item limit a sign that eBay has linked the accounts, or is this nothing unusual?

If the card is separate from other accounts, the billing address in itself should not link it.

Okay, that alleviates my anxiety somewhat. Can you recommend any sources where I can learn more about eBay's linking methods/practices?

Also, why is the selling limit so high?
