Old .biz vs New Domain

Hey guys. Im trying to find a domain for a Local Seo project and this are my options:

- EMD 5 years old with 6 RD from local mentions .BIZ
- Register a new one, LSI version of my keyword (EMD not available)
- EMD .ORG aparently 3 years old (whois creation) but absolutely no information about in on archive.org and 0 backlinks

Im super confused on which way to go. Whats your opinion?

i ranked a new .biz domain ecommerce site and its going good for 3 years so far. so dont worry mate whatever you choose, .org is more serious but for SEO you can rank any name if you do the quality links..

I read in so many places people saying .biz makes it much harder to rank. Would like to know other opinions for sure

It's always been a question whether Google gives less weight to .biz compared to other domains. While many posts and people over the years have tried to speculate that .com gets a small bonus, I've always been able to rank .me, .tv, .biz and so on. I think most people after buying a .biz start to fear it is not as strong, and therefore do not follow through with the work needed. And when they fail they blame the name, not their lack of work.

That's an interesting point. I never used anything else then .com so Im not so confortable using a .biz , plus, I never saw a .biz well ranked.

They are few and far between for sure. In my own experience I tend to consider them more spammy usually, in most part due to Google once putting more weight on the domains keyword than they do now. It could be interesting to collect some top ranking .biz domains and compare them to .com domains to see whether there's something to learn from that.

I went for niche related 6 year old .com domain with zero backlinks, zero anything, just age. Wayback machine showed nothing to worry about. Let's see how this goes, thinking of making a journey...
