Start by thinking geopolitically. Most everyone goes online or hears news even if they hate it. That causes their thoughts to become opinions about that current situation. Right now geopolitically all over the world we have major issues stemming from sheer "heads up asses syndrome" so depending on your country think about what fires you up and what you see on social media, Reddit, etc that fires others up. If your thought are what everyone is saying then blog and find affiliate partners with it.
For instance in the US there is a drastic divide between republicans and democrats. Going further down that line you have different opinions on every major thing. Religion, sex, rights, law, etc. Healthcare is a major one. So find the differences between healthcare in the us and major European nations suffering after brexit or other political issues and start a discussion with your peers on blog, social media. Use that to open a new article about the original post and how you may have seen a different side. Honestly the simplest form of this idea right now is Sexuality. Sex not only sells but it spurs major debate politically. With all the LGBTQ worldwide, antifa, and rise of religion pushing against the LGBTQ community's and woman's rights. It's just a cash grab and shitstorm rolled into one.
