Google is getting smarter everyday. White hat SEO takes a long time to do, but is generally safe from updates and penalties.

Black hat SEO can be a lot quicker cheaper, but it is a lot riskier. Do you think theres still a future in black hat SEO? Or do you think its inevitable that only white hat will survive?

For me Both are same. I have no hats lol. But building backlinks using tools and testing all the day. Is that called BH yes i will wear that hat.

Black Hat will be around for the foreseeable future and nothing will change that.
People need to stop following the herd and then complain BH isn't working but they should develop their own BH methods and STFU and bank.

What worked in 2015 may not work today, but that does not mean that black hat is going anywhere at all. Also, if anyone thinks that white hat is safe, then nope. You can always get neg SEOed just like that. You can always end up overoptimised and if you by any chance build links on purpose, you are already breaking Google ToS and can get rekt. And waiting until somebody bothers to linking to your site... uhm... no. I do not have 5 years to make first sale out of the site.

My opinion all depends on your strategy (BH or WH nor GH). I believe there is no exact theory.Haven't you heard about RRF or haven't you done some tests? Does all affects same ? If you want to spy for that you need money. Both of ways need money and time.
