Does Google treat diff forms of word as single keyword?

In Croatian "auto" is car "auti" is cars, does Google recognize this and treat them as the same?

I ask because when I enter the plural form into keyword planner google doesn't show an entry for it, only for the singular form. Obviously, people ARE actually searching for the plural form, is it that google just rolls all the searches into one and show it as the volume for the singular?

If you put that word into google, are both forms of the word bolded? If yes, then it's counted as the same word for SEO purposes. Not entirely, but close to same. Synonym.

If I type in auto I get only that appearing on the first 4 pages, so I can't tell, but I have auti appearing in "
Searches related to auto" in the bottom. But I suppose that just means ppl who searched auto also searched this.

Croatian synonyms in Google are not done so well obviously. Small market. There isn't enough money in it to work on it too much. Plus, "car" is pretty general. Try something more concrete.

I tried with city named Šibenik (first letter "Š" is found in Croatian alphabet) keyword like "Šibenik x" and "Sibenik x" and it gave me 2 different results on planner, one with like 2200 searches and other 1400 or something. Competition is like zero. Moz reports all the PA = 1, up to 14 max for only 1 page ranking. So I bought a domain and gonna practice SEO. If i rank well, gonna try to sell leads to the people doing "x" in the mentioned keyword.
