Is 12USD per 1,000 words expensive?

Much depends on whether content is quality. I think the normal price is $10. I would pay $ 12 if the article is well written and quickly.

Actually I think you will get a article without any deep useful information for your visitors. I would not use that typ of content for my money page, but I could be wrong aswell maybe the quality is reasonable enough. In the end it really depense on how well the article was written. Maybe you could ask for a sample text.

If you're happy with the results that's what counts.

I use multiple writers across wide price ranges.

Trying a few helps you compare and evaluate.

I've paid $5 for 1000 words from one source and $30 for 1000 words from another and was happy with both.

It's good to try different price points and see the difference in value as price changes. A good writer won't be afraid to charge a price that another writer would never dare charge because of their different skill levels.

Ask 6 writers for the exact same thing and pay the asking price and you might find 3 worth working with again. Small price to pay to find a good long term writer.

Did you find some of those writers on here? Because I have a large number of projects and have no time to write content for all of them (even though I enjoy writing content). So I need to get different writers definitely.

It all depends on quality I believe. For the $12, that person could write a kick-a$$ post that needs no changes to it at all. Whereas, you get someone for $5 or less, who knows how many changes you may need to make.

I think it'll be best to test it out. Finding good/great writers is difficult. And like another member here said, you can have a whole bunch and still benefit.

I myself am trying to test the waters and find good writers and I know I'll be paying various prices to test these writers out, but I care a lot about the talent (if they're good enough that I'll continuously purchase more) and of course, the value.

That's a little more than .01 a word. I've yet to find a writer that cheap whose work I would actually use.
If it's good work, I think it's a great price if it is writing for your money page and content your readers would actually want.

It all boils down to ROI

Even if the guy charges $300 per article, if the article makes you $6K over the life of your site, the $300 is chump change.

Focus on ROI

Definitely not expensive if the writer is good. For quality articles/content for my money sites I sometimes pay 3 or 4 times that...

you can check in market place its too expensive for 1000 words lol

You can't say.

@OP, if the quality is high (as in perhaps acedemic) its not expensive. If its some foreign 'wannabe-writer', its very expensive.

It depends what you're looking for. For this price you can probably get content properly written at a native level. But if you want real high quality, something researched that can attract links by itself, you'll definitely need to pay more. There may be really talented writers at that price, but they don't stay there very long once they realize the value of their skills.

I have paid $10 for 500 words article in past and it was good, Saves you lot of time and open up your mind for new ideas.

you already got cheap price in 12$ and u know in your self that u perfectly amaze of his/her 1000 words.

I know some copywriting agencies and businesses that charge an average of $26 per 1k words, with research included, and that was considered cheap!

Though it really does suck that in this environment we've got today that we have PhDs underselling themselves all the time.

12$/1000 words is a bargain. Just image how long it takes to write up a high quality article with 1000 words. Yes there are people selling for cheaper, but those articles are trash. If you are happy with the quality it's a no brainer.

You're definitely right, but ROI is prolonged in time if to speak about SEO. Though $12/1000 words is rather fair price for good content.

i found a upwork freelancer and he sent me a sample of a product review I tested him on, it was perfect and he knows what his doing, before I continue I just wanted to know if this is worth it, he'll write me 10 product reviews (top 10) and a buyers guide for $12/1000

If there's cheaper good writers let me know. :)

That seems like a good price. I was looking at a thread here on BHW with one provider wanting $7.98 for 100 words. I went to their site and filled out the quote for 700 words and they wanted $55 or over $70 if i wanted it within 24 hours. There were three examples on the site of their "quality" work and I was not impressed with any of them I have to say. I have had writers do better work who were asking for far less.

My advice though when you find someone really good treat them very well. I always tip them very well on each piece and pay quite a bit more than $12 for 1000 words but its worth it. I have dealt with literally dozens of people and finding one good writer is very hard. IF they give you the content you want then its worth whatever you are willing to pay.

I normally pay 10 usd for 2000 words content.

Considering the writing is perfect, I think its fairly priced. You don't come across content writers you find perfect quite often.

In my opinion, I think this is cheap.
I personally write all the content myself. My last article required research and collecting info for 3 days.
The final result was a 3500-word article which keeps visitors glued to their screen.
They spent well over 5 minutes on that page plus it has been shared on many sites. So pretty pleased with that.

If you would have offered me $40 to write this article for you, I would have told you to f... I mean, I would have politely declined :)
