They offer four plans with following prices per month. Pretty steep and still figuring out what all the features mean as I'm new to this thing.

$99
$179
$399
$999

I do the free plan but I only want to track 5 keyword clusters at a time and the ranking goes up and down pretty wildly sometimes for no apparent reason - the only thing I can think you would want it for is to manage your backlinks they have about 70% of the links google has usually so you can manage your backlink portfolio (Google is horrible to manage from once you get over about 60 it is so hard to see no direct link no direct page link, etc)

standard works great. (Trial even better)

I'm doing 14-day trials every month or so using different credit cards. Is def enough for basic needs

I am using 14 day trial accounts too and I can create unlimited number of them.

$99 or you can try some groupbuys first

$99 package has been good for me. Ahrefs is really one of the better tools out there.

Try groupbuy to get 6+ months of ahrefs in 99$.

Making two-way dude - one is standard running time (continue) income.
another one is high budget income - target business

Shared accounts for $10, because this stuff is not worth this much even if I were on LSD.

Can the other people in groupbuys not see your keyword and domain searches? I was looking at paying $99 but if I can get it for 10 why not

count me in.

as long as they have those prices, I will continue the "VCC Way".
The price for "Lite " should be standard.

It's an amazing tool but it's still very expensive.

Wish they done some granular plan so you could just get billed for usage. I probably use it for maybe 20-30 checks in a month, not going to pay $99/month for that.

Yes they can, which is why I don't use GBs, I have a guy does me cheap, private accounts.

Agreed group buys are not the safest way to go.

On another note though... does anyone feel its ridiculous that in 2017 with SO many similar services that Ahrefs is still $99 a month? THAT is the reason everybody uses trails or group buys... because their price is far above what its typical value is to many users. If they charged $29 a month you'd see a TON of guys on BHW legit subscribing rather than beating around the GB/trial bush.

I'm all for paying a decent amount for a good product. But as others have pointed out, it's amazing to me they can charge $99 minimum with the comp on the market. Are they that much better than their competitors?

But a product is worth only what people are willing to pay, so I imagine lots of people must be willing to pay that or they'd drop their prices.

Yes, they are that much better.

The features should fit your needs. I suggest you use the free trial first, so you can test and evaluate. If you have the budget and want to access its main features, $179 standard would be ideal. This will allow you to track more keywords and backlinks.
