Ready to drop my first PBN link

I think i'm ready to drop my first PBN link and want to check in with you guys before I do the deed.

1. purchased a nice clean expired domain (only a cheapy $5 but respectable metrics)
2. used a service i found on here to build a WP site (basic but respectable) with spider blockers in the htaccess.
3. added some good content
4. let it mellow for about 6 weeks and dripped in another article

Now I have 1000 words ready to drop in with a nice anchor text backlink to one of my internal pages that is currently ranked 8 in the serps, I'm hoping this will push it to No. 1 (it's low competition).

Is there anything I ought to do/check before I put this post live or should I set it free to roam the plains of googleland and help me rank?

So far you've done everything right. One link on a $5 expired domain might not move your keyword to #1 but you should definitely see positive movements. Good luck!

Build more PBN in the long run. one link wouldn't be enough though it's on low competition.

Sounds like you already took more precautions than most "pro" PBNs out there. If you didn't set too many footprints, then you should be fine.

You seem to have done everything right, as @LatteGrande said, you should build some more as it may not be enough to get you to #1, but keep going!

Everything sounds good, i wouldn't expect to suddenly jump to 1, but anything above 5 would be worth it.

1 link is good. 10 links like that during 3 months and you should be on top. It's all about the quality of the work you put in.

yeah. a 5$ woth domain is really not a footprint. no competitor wont take time to report it.
