Article marketing a Huge Failure

Hey 00000, you'll never rise to 00001 believing that article directories are dead... j/k

Seriously though, one of the projects I've been partnered in for the past 2 years is an article directory. It gets over 50,000 unique readers (not counting article authors who login) every month and about half of them leave the site via an author's resource box link-click.

This is just a mid-sized article directory and it's sending 25,000 or more visitors out to article writer's sites every month, so to say that article directories are dead is just wrong.

The key is to find directories that receive some TLC from their owners, avoid the ones that were just thrown up from templates and using saturated databases full of PLR articles, it's not hard to tell which directories have an active user base as opposed to which don't--and then provide a quality article and good "call to action" link in your resource boxes.

If you're submitting crap articles from spinners that read like a monkey was pounding on the keyboard, and your link just says "click here", you're not going to get any real traffic from your articles.

But, if you publish decent articles with a good call to action they will generate human visitors for you.

You gotta write tons of articles to be successful in Article Marketing. No joke, spin 25 ezinearticles articles and submit them (I use Automatic Article Submitter).

I agree, but when doing a search for your article titles, what is the number of the search results you get, meaning indexed backlinks?

So if we submit an spinned article with manual editing and etc,. in 220+ directories how to check what all are approved and how to check the profits out of it?

Surely using a shit and wall scenario. What ever pages on the interweb that mention your page, your product or you is a good thing. If and I mean if you can find a submitter that actually works ( I am sure if you pay for one it will work ) I cannot see it being a massive failure... for instance I am posting on scribed. which is a waste of time however... the keywords or content of your article calls up the page with your registration url on it. so how can that be a bad thing x 200?

I tried Article marketing. I used article Submitter. Sumbit to 500+ sites thread to get it. spent 1 day making profiles

When I conformed I get many errors lie, Account not exist or expired

Then I used Power Article rewriter and got only 20% uniqueness

Worried and got ready to submit
When I did got all website error that EMAIL NOT CONFORMED

Please help me where am I going wrong... :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

one more thing, i sense if you are getting this error it is a software issue,. i have the same... the makers claim that this is to do with either early software bugs, locking you out for using a free crack version, or a combination of utter shit ness - i wasted hours with article submitter by i - can soft to get the same issue. "your account is already confirmed" or "cannot login with this account" etc

choose another bot, or buy one?

It's not gonna be through article marketing. The top sites for competitive keywords spend lots of money for quality backlinks or have really old, established domains. Spammer use parasite hosting but only remain indexed for a few hours to a day before being pulled down.

So are you saying, unless you pay for backlinks or have an old website, then it is impossible to get to the tope of the search engines? I thought the search engines go by HOW MANY backlinks you have... because the more backlinks, means the more people r talking about your site....what is parasite hosting?

Lateral Thinking required....

Forget search engines

Place content were humans gather and read...article sites...forums...yahoo answers....

Oh yea

Check out googles linkwheel for keywords

Daily

It changes

it all depends on the keyword. You won't for really competitive keywords like 'poker' 'online poker' 'stock market' 'pills' ect

Success in Article Marketing depends mainly on the keyword - you have to find one that is long-tail, has decent search volume (>1000/month), has low competition (couple hundred in allintitle). Of course it has to be a 'Buying Keyword' too (see Microsoft Adlabs).

I personally focus on Ezinearticles, and optimize my article based on the keyword. I then spin the articles (>30% uniqueness) and post it to other Article Directories and Social Network sites, pointing back to my Main Article on Ezine for backlinks.

Chances are its pretty high it should rank over time. Do some Social Bookmarking, post some Videos too, and you 'should' dominate this keyword over time.

I use SENuke for all my SEO-ing, its an awesome piece of software. Can't do without it

I'm with prosummer. Manually submit to the big directories such as ezine. Wait for it to be approved. Then spin the article by sentence and blast it with senuke. Bookmark everything and make sure you submit RSS feeds. You will see results if you do it right with not a lot of effort.

People who say article marketing is dead are missing one big thing. Articles are not only on the articles directories but are reprinted on many other websites with your links still in them.

A good article can spread far and wide.

Since I wrote this an hour or so ago I have discovered that just one article I submitted in the last day or so to a top article directory has been picked up by 10 other websites already, giving me 20 back links to one of my sites. I expect many more at this rate.

When I first got into IM a few months back, I would write 5-10 articles a day and submit it only to ezinearticles. I was making ~200 a week, but I got annoyed that I had to keep writing articles to make any money. So I made a website and now it's making ~200 a week by itself without much input from me now. I've since started on another website and I hope to just keep repeating over and over again.

The one thing I'm trying now is writing my articles with 1 link to my page and 1 link directly to the vendor. I hope this will give me more up front sales why helping my SERPs at the same time.

*shrug* we'll see

Article Post Robot is very complicated software. i try it and requested refund

Something I learned about submitting to ezinearticles. We all know that this article directory is top dog. If you are going to submit the same article or spun articles to a lot of different directories, wait until it's accepted in ezinearticles first.

Once I submitted spun articles to more than one directory. It got accepted in others before ezinearticles. Thus it was rejected for being too similar to other articles.

This is a valid point :)
This is the mistake I did
