SSl certificate for ecommerce

Anyone know any cheap ssl certificate for ecommerce stores? I was going to go with hostgator 39$ but they said that the green lock doesn't show up with that one

If you only want green lock only then go with any standard or basic ssl certificate of trusted certificate authority like rapidssl certificate, comodo positive ssl, geotrust quickssl premium, thawte ssl123 etc. They provide other features too such as warranty, SHA-2 algorithm support etc. You can check SSL certificates cheap price at ClickSSL. But if you want to get green bar go with EV SSL certificate which will display business name in green bar that helps to boost customer's trust towards the website.

letsencrypt.org most admin panels now have a simple one click setup for that. but it's just a dv cert

Let's Encrypt would be best among other free SSL support like Cloudfare...

lets encrypt will encrypt the connection between u and cloudflare and cloudflare will encrypt between the user and them

There's absolutely no need for Cloudflare btw, if you are using a popular shared hosting then you probably have an option to have your own LetsEncrypt certificate.
If you have a VPS then it's super easy to install it as well.

Or, if you want you can get a certificate from Namecheap for $7 or $2 something when you buy a new domain.

A lot of companies offer Let's Encrypt now a days for free. Just get to a host that offers that and you do not have to worry about purchasing a SSL.

I run LetsEncrypt sertificate on Woocommerce site on a shared hosting that doesnt offer SSL in Cpanel. Just search for Really simple SSL in wordpress plugins. It's simple.

If you will order SSL certificate from any provider but fail to update your code from http to https (every instance of http will need to replace with https) then also your website will not display the green padlock in web browser. So make sure to update that too in your code.
