Hi guys,

Just wanted to find out, if you anyone knows of any alternative tools for scrapping for back links - almost similar to Scrapebox. At the moment scrapping manually (on google) using advanced searches, proves to be more effective in terms of the results I get.

Hi, try Data Miner, it's free Google Chrome extension.
Thank you man, I did try it. But turns out you have to pay for it, so don't know if its worth it.... Also not really hearing good things about it lol.

Hey, I have own crawler and can scrape site for you, checkout my thread "Free Web Site Crawling [LARGE!]"
write me PM

What are the advanced searches to use in google?

If you tell me what tool you need, i'm sure i could build you one :)

What are the advanced searches to use in google?
eg. inurl:activites OR inurl:things-to-do AND intext:"NewYork"

*Just an example of one of the search parameters I've used*

Have tried with a custom footprint on and Platforms using blogs.

What proxies/how many are you using for Google scraping in Scrapebox? Set up correctly it is by far one of the best tools out there. Without the right proxies you wont get the results.

If you setup scrapebox with the same parameters your using manually, you will get the same results as scrapebox is just seen by a browser.

But if you do things like use your ip manually, but then use a proxy in scrapebox that can alter results.

Also 100 vs 10 results per page

Plus a half dozen other things all have an affect.

Thank you.

Think that it may be how I've set up my proxies, so If I didn't want to use my IP manually how would I go about changing that?

Thank you so much! change the IP, and its working perfectly now ! :D

Why do you need alternative? Which feature is missing?

Scraping via Scrapebox is already so far ahead and they are continuously updating the tool every now and then to make it relevant, it's really hard to find a substitute for Scrapebox. Well, there is GSA which allows you to find links to post, but I still prefer Scrapebox though.

IMO, there is nothing else like Scrapebox. It has tons of features that you actually need.
