Being in the content writing business for nearly two decades, I've developed and found writing styles and outlines that convert or work well for my clients. How did I know that it works? I base it on the feedbacks I've been receiving since I started this content writing business in 2001.

We have two styles in writing product reviews.

The first one is the standard format wherein we strictly follow 8 sub-headings. This outline is product-centered. It describes and boasts the product. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The second style follows our advanced format in writing product reviews. In this format, not only do we use our 8 default sub-headings in the standard style but we also insert informative paragraphs. These informative paragraphs are not product-centered but the stories are related to the product. After each informative segment, we segue back to the product.

Why do they love it? Because the format creates a tone that is not just meant to sell but to inform or educate their readers as well.

As we may already both know, people don't like being sold all the time. You have to connect with them first by educating them or sharing a solution to their problem. For example, if you're selling a machine, the best way to sell it is not in describing what's in the box, what is it made of, where it was manufactured, what it does, and so on. That helps, for sure. But that should not be the focus of the product review only. A product review that converts well talks about the problem and the solution. After establishing that form of trust with your readers, that's the right time to pitch the product.
